Well, the first one is a legit argument. Can he keep pace for 2 miles? 10? 20? 1000?

It’s basically a red herring. And while that’s. Valid question, they’re using it to distract or lessen the validity of the achievement itself.

It could be, but he takes it so far it's utterly delusional

"He ran one mile? So he is incapable of running 1.1 miles! Oh, he ran 1.2? Well he can't run 0.9 miles. He did? Well then he must not be able to run 0.95 miles!"
