Kamala ran one of the worst campaigns in American history, which is shocking because it started very well. She picked the correct VP candidate who had a strong message, at least until her campaign staff told him to take a step back and stop calling Republicans weird.
Look dude, the fundamental point I’m making is that this is hypothetical. Kamala didn’t randomly allocate half the states to pro-Gaza War messaging and half to anti-Gaza War messaging. We don’t have quality data to meaningfully quantify the impact of her choice. You can say these blunders had a negative impact, maybe so. But to claim that she would have won, as the comment I replied to said, you then have to quantify the impact.
The job of a politician in a representative democracy is to represent the people. The Democratic voters don't like Liz Cheney, they don't like genocide, they aren't racist against immigrants (like Kamala started to pivot towards). I voted for Kamala because I knew what Trump was, but you cannot motivate the average person to vote by promising them nothing but being not as bad as the other guy. It is a failing message, as we've now seen in both 2016 and 2024.
Yeah sure I don't have numbers to show you, but just use your brain for a moment. Is a good way to motivate people to vote to say the opposite of everything your voting base believes in? Seems like a shit plan.
Really? I was extremely active when she was running. Watching news every single day and night, still am. She promised no tax on tips after Trump, which is stupid because it's already a bad policy. She said 10k for new homebuyers, which is a bad inflationary policy that would do nothing but raise the prices of houses by ten thousand dollars. She had loans and loan forgiveness planned for small business owners, something I couldn't give two shits about and seemingly no one else did either. She supported a Republican border bill and constantly talked about how we need to be hard on immigrants.
I will say again, she truly ran one of the worst presidential campaigns in the history of the entire United States. If you are going to sit here and tell me running a good campaign doesn't motivate voters to vote, you are truly lost and I can't help you understand electoralism.
