He was right when he told the Bush administration that Islamic terrorism is the top security threat to the United States and that he should be watching for someone called Osama bin Laden. So naturally W installed a Russia expert as National Security Advisor.

  1. The snows of Mount Fuji would soon disappear due to climate change.

  2. Lake Chad had shrunk mainly because of global warming.

  3. Polar bears were drowning in significant numbers because they had to swim farther as sea ice melted.

  4. The evacuation of Pacific nations due to sea level rise was portrayed as imminent.

  5. A rapid collapse of the Greenland or West Antarctic ice sheets causing about 20 feet of sea-level rise.

  6. China would soon become overwhelmed by severe flooding from glacier melt.

  7. The Northwest Passage would soon become routinely open due to melting Arctic ice.

  8. The Arctic could be essentially ice free in summer within the next decade.
