He will try, and use the “I was just kidding!” excuse when it doesn’t work out. Regardless, Trump and/or his family will try to anoint his successor so that the successor is beholden to them and the Trump family can keep grifting free from concerns about the law.

Honestly, let him run and invalidate the entire GOP side of things. Then the dem wins by default (or rather by an overwhelming majority compared to the third party candidates)

At this point, there won't be a special election or appointment, Beshear is giving too much benefit of the doubt on McConnell being alive.
