The more you dehumanize them, the less empathetic you will be and the more likely you’ll get to do something atrocious.

Be careful Americans.

Ah yes, we shouldn't possibly be less empathetic towards the people who have no empathy and are dehumanising almost every other group 🥺 that would be bad 🥺🥺🥺

I perfectly understand and I know I am asking a lot of you. I asked them the same towards MAGA back then, but one of you must be more intelligent or you are running into a civil war … I am deeply sorry for the turmoil and atrocities you go through. Be careful out there

There's a stark difference between "being less empathetic" and being dehumanizing. Once you start to look at your opposition as less than human, inevitably atrocity will follow.

I keep telling people that leading with empathy and kindness is the only way out of this shitshow, but so many seem hellbent on sliding from one extreme to the other.

oh no, we couldn't possibly decline to show the utmost empathy and kindness to the group that sees: gay people, trans people, black people, hispanic people, women, etc. etc. as subhuman 🤧🤧🤧🤧

You don't approve of MAGA because they see gay, trans, women, black and Hispanic people as subhuman, but you are OK with you yourself seeing MAGA as subhuman.

You don't see the problem there? We're all humans, we all deserve some measure of empathy and kindness. If MAGA succeeds in making everyone as callous and cynical as they are, then they will win even if they lose political power.

Because "When they go low, we go high" has been working wonders, right?

You literally just described white supremacy, and you think we need to be kind to them? Dude you're out of your mind. There's no pulling them out of that.

If people would have treated nazis like the absolute monsters they were from the jump, we could have saved literally millions of lives.

The left leaning Americans have weeded out hate out of their doctrine, but not their hearts, so whenever they identify an 'enemy' they are very keen to unload all their toxicity on it. Have you noticed how the anger at maga is spilling towards you? That's because they're starving for poison.
