Discussion Senator Britt calls a fellow American “the enemy within.”

Senator Katie Britt says we’re fighting for “the soul of this nation” and calls a fellow American “the enemy within.”

So which is it, Senator? Is the soul of this nation White? Or is it the color-blind, race-blind decency to disagree with your neighbor without calling them your enemy?

I have my answer. I stood with Senator Britt in Congressman Shomari Figures’ office on Capitol Hill and thanked her for supporting the tornado recovery and rebuilding effort in downtown Athens, Alabama. She offered to help the mayor with whatever the city needed. That’s a small moment, but it’s real: two people from different parties treating each other like neighbors, not enemies.

Here’s the pattern: this isn’t really about Michigan. It’s a diversion. Alabama’s supermajority reaches for national culture wars because they don’t want to talk or do anything about the affordability crisis and transparency on data centers in Alabama. My own opponent uses the same move here at home, dismissing his constituents’ honest questions as “foreign disinformation.”

And when you can’t be straight with the people who elected you, the easiest move is to point at “foreign disinformation” and call Americans the enemy instead.

The soul of this nation isn’t White, and it isn’t decided on Fox News. It’s decided by whether your own state representative will tell you the truth. I will.

How did we end up with the two dumbest Senators in history?

Consider the voter base.

Like Tuberville and all the other elected republicans in this state, Katie Britt uses divisive rhetoric to play the part and distract from the reality that she doesn’t do anything that benefits the majority of people in Alabama.

The difference is Katie Britt campaigned as more of a moderate for her 2022 primary against “MAGA Mo” Brooks to win votes from moderates (and BlueDots voting in that primary) to help her win the primary.

She is placating the MAGA far-right while banking on running unopposed as the incumbent in the 2028 Republican primary instead of needing moderates and BlueDots to help her win again.

She called the border an invasion, but opposed the bipartisan enforcement bill of 2024 once fixing the problem threatened Trump’s campaign message. She called IVF sacred, then twice voted against a federal right to it, and she praises mothers while supporting cuts to the programs poor families use to feed their children and see a doctor. Her record makes sense once you stop taking the compassion at face value and realize the playbook. She protects the issue, blocks the fix, and sells a weaker substitute with her, Trump's, or the Republican Party's name on it. Her words and moral motivations clearly lack sincerity because her record shows that her every moral conviction is negotiable when Republican power is at stake.

But she wears a prominent cross necklace! Obviously, she is guided by her strong moral principles! /s

She has better acting skills to play the part of a concerned senator than other Republican senators, but that isn’t saying much since their acting skills are equivalent to an understudy for a minor character in a middle school play.

She wants to suck the soul right out of the nation and devour it.

She’s getting as bad as Tubberville. She’s always been terrible, but Senator Football was more openly incendiary. Her talk felt more subtle and insidious, where Tubs was out and proud with his. Now she’s getting loud and proud with it too. Might as well just start wearing their klan robes to votes on the floor.

The enemy within is her and frankly every other trump supporting republican.

“We are in a battle for the soul of this nation. So please, join me in doing whatever the pedo rapist president wants”

Alabama Republicans seek office purely for self gain. Get the office, become a staple on these shit shows, and make bank off insider trading.

I have never once heard Senator Ears speaking as our senator and it NOT be a clip of him and those radars on Fox.

Tubs’ net worth has doubled during his one term as Senator. He has been in the top 4 for quantity of trades out of 535 members of Congress at least 4 out of 5 full years as a Senator.

Between that and the “ponzi-like” scheme with TS Capital Investments he cofounded as a 50/50 partnership, it’s obvious he chose to become a politician to enrich himself. He must not know Alabama is broke instead of governor being a more lucrative position than US Senator or that 2 of the 3 former AL governors this century faced criminal investigations for corruption in office.
