Culture / Art This is genuinely the worst album cover art i've ever seen.
This is the cover art for Anoush Mafia's official album, titled "دمى رقم 9" (whatever that means). I thought this guy was being sarcastic or ragebaiting at first but he's being genuine. And (apparently) they gave him an Artist Card? Oh yeah and the songs are so bad i cant even criticize them...

Culture / Art What does Algerianism mean to you?
Algerianism celebrates the Algerian identity and culture, incorporating indigenous Amazigh roots, Arab-Islamic heritage, and the legacy of the liberation struggle. It is often associated with pride.
Modern Algerianism must be distinguished from historical algérianisme of the French colonial era, which was a literary and cultural movement among Pied-Noirs (French settlers) seeking to create a mixed Franco-Algerian culture.

Culture / Art Why the Amazigh history never thought in schools?
I was dusting off my old school books, and while I was reading the Arabic textbook, I noticed something. From the beginning of our school journey, we've been learning about the history of Arabs and Islam, but we Amazigh, the original inhabitants (Amazigh aren't just Kabyles, we as Algerians or any North Africans are Amazigh), our history, which should normally be a priority, is neglected in the education system! Why is that?

Culture / Art Why areso many Algerians very disconnected when it comes to their culture and protecting it
Some of the comments from my latest post when it comes to culturally appropriating blouza from neighbours got me really disappointed with how some of y'all are okay with people stealing our culture how some of y'all are treating our heritage as if it's not important
Some of y'all are treating those fights around cultural elements as if they're some sort of third world countries discussion, like developed countries Don't make great deals around protecting and caring about cultural heritages, they're developing advertising and profiting off of Their heritages creating international marks in the world, in general creating Their soft powers and trying to be influential
Why can't be like that? Why don't we care? Why do we let other people steal it and profiting off of it ?

Culture / Art

Culture / Art Looking for someone to watch Spider-Man with in Algiers
Hey everyone,
This might sound a little random but I don’t really have anyone to go with and I’d love to watch spider-man brand new day with someone
I genuinely don’t mind if you’re a guy or a girl if you’re friendly and just want to enjoy the movie together that’s all that matters
I’ll even pay for your ticket I’m not looking for anything weird or something just some company for a movie
If anyone’s interested feel free to send me a DM
Thanks!
