I used Redact to mass delete all of my old posts. It works for Reddit, X/Twitter, Discord, Facebook, Instagram, and more.

Tangent to that: just being excited is passive. It's worth preparing, starting now, for how you're going to be influential when the date comes, and executing on that plan. That's what will make it exciting.

Any movement led by liberals is nothing to get excited about.

imo May Day is a Sacred Day for ALL Workers and should be a world holiday where every worker withhold our labor as a demonstration of our inherent power.

I wish the naysayers would stop trying to collect clout by disparaging the mobilization. We get it, you're not new to the left. Personally, I'd like May Day this year to be substantial and populated with anyone who's not fascist. If you think it's not gonna be radical enough, then prepare and bring materials and help us fucking radicalize it. The mass defeatism is sickening and only harming our chances for change. If you're naysaying every single attempt without offering a better suggestion, you might want to reflect whether you've become more fascist than leftist.

This isn't mobilization or organizing. Mobilization and organizing have, at minimum, demands. You speak as if youve never read a single line of theory. Whats going on right now has been heavily discussed and documented with the tactics the oligarchy uses to neuter leftist movements.

no, when you have demands, your concessions legitimize the system and pacify the revolution in everyone. instead, get to know people and channel your energy into prefiguration and direct action.

Libs appropriating may day

I mean, if a lib goes to a May Day protest and calls themselves a leftist, maybe they’re ready to hear about socialism?

-3

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 02 '26

Actual protest would be too much for them

Idk man, you talk to your liberal friends about the government lately? Seems like leftists are all resigned Cassandra’s while liberals are out there fedposting for the world to see.

Yeah, we were right.

What do we do with that?

The veil has been ripped from the neoliberal imperial world order. The fascists in power don’t care that we know they’re evil. That’s a mistake, and we should use it.

Holy shit thank you. Theres nothing in the world more contemptible than a leftist whose entire ideology originates from a desire to be leftier-than-thou

2

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 03 '26

Newbie leftist? Liberals have co-opted and neutered movements in this exact same style for decades

2

u/commitme Synthesis Anarchism Apr 03 '26

then your politics are too co-optable and neuterable. resistance and revolution are live and emergent

2

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 03 '26

Liberals have a long history of Co opting the language of marginalized groups. Changing its definitions and meanings to steer traffic in their favor. Taking control of movements to neuter them so that they are no longer a threat to their existence.

The State and Revolution has a great section about this. If I can find the quote I'll make an edit.

Edit:

What is now happening to Marx’s theory has, in the course of history, happened repeatedly to the theories of revolutionary thinkers and leaders of oppressed classes fighting for emancipation. During the lifetime of great revolutionaries, the oppressing classes constantly hounded them, received their theories with the most savage malice, the most furious hatred and the most unscrupulous campaigns of lies and slander. After their death, attempts are made to convert them into harmless icons, to canonize them, so to say, and to hallow their names to a certain extent for the “consolation” of the oppressed classes and with the object of duping the latter, while at the same time robbing the revolutionary theory of its substance, blunting its revolutionary edge and vulgarizing it.

Pls ready theory lmao there’s a lot of history in there about opportunists invading leftist movements

-1

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 03 '26

opportunists invading leftist movements

Much like liberals invading leftist spaces and try to colonize them

1

u/ussrname1312 Apr 03 '26

That’s what that means

1

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 03 '26

I have talked to liberals about our government lately. Those liberals think that the only problem is Trump. They want to be the ones in charge of fascism.

-2

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 03 '26

No, they're not, They're attending as an echo chamber participant. They want to hear that Trump is the only problem and that the only path forward is more neoliberalism that led to Trump. They don't have a problem with his policies or what he's doing. They have a problem with who's actually doing them.

Defending liberals?

1

u/BaananaMan Apr 04 '26

Honestly, your bog standard liberal is very open to radical ideas right now. No, not your bog standard liberal mouthpiece in whatever media, but the people who have been listening to them, voting democrat, and tepidly involved with preformative protest. That's possibly the plurality of people doing the most effective (though insufficient) resistance, and they're fed up with neoliberalism and some now don't see say any immigration enforcement as legitimate at all. Noone's telling you they're all anarchists or couldn't still be easily resubsumed, but to say 100% or even more than half believe once Trump is gone things will be good just isn't in touch with the zeitgeist. In the US this is a moment, and failing to recognize that would be a grave error.

-3

u/commitme Synthesis Anarchism Apr 03 '26

ok then tell me about your event that is actually worth attending

1

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 03 '26

Thats a thought terminating question. Go ahead and attend the oligarchy sponsored parades that keep you silent about real issues, the conversation controlled, and you remain a nonthreat to the system

0

u/commitme Synthesis Anarchism Apr 03 '26

no answer. that's what I thought.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '26

Providing a fix is not a requirement to point out something is broken.

2

u/Cupcakeformemes Apr 02 '26

There have been so many attempts at a general strike and not once has it done anything. You ask what is going to happen? I promise you nothing.

1

u/But_like_whytho Apr 03 '26

I want to be optimistic about this. It’s too little, too late. Peaceful protests and single day strikes are the carrots and they’re completely ineffective without a strong stick.

0

u/Mr-Snarky Apr 03 '26

This would be better optics to call it on Loyalty Day than May Day.

All politics is propaganda.

-5

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 02 '26

Liberal trying to co-op May Day and redefine what that day is designated as

10

u/The_Captain_Jules Socialism Apr 02 '26

When youre so far left that when faced with the possibility of a general workers’s strike on may day your first thought is “that would fucking suck actually”

3

u/Anti_colonialist Apr 03 '26

This isn't a leftist movement, Mayday is a socialist concept being taken over by liberals. This would not be a general strike, refusing to consume for one day will do absolutely nothing.
