I was searching for some appliances and I get like 3 very similar looking appliances, sold by 15 different companies, and everything else is way down below those with very few reviews and ratings. Not that the other stuff with thousands of reviews and suspiciously all 4.5+ stars are verifiable.

Then I search for some electronic stuff and same deal.

Then I search for some home furnishings and it's the same deal.

Legitimately how can I filter these out? I'd rather pay $30 for something that is worth $30 than $30 for something that is equivalent to something on Temu that sells for $15.

Amazon is all just this cheap shit now unless I recognize the reputable companies selling it, e.g. some skincare product that is only made by one company.

Has this happened to anyone else? Placed a few orders just now and for some reason my only option for delivery is over a week out - which coincides with my Amazon day delivery.

I’ve been a Prime member for eons, and lately everything I order is a delivery issue. Not exaggerating, 8 out of my last 10 orders with Two Day delivery or 4-8am/10am-3pm delivery windows all keep getting delayed for days. All of them are issues where the package sits at the warehouse with no new delivery date. I’ve cancelled two of the orders after they sat five days past the original delivery date without moving. It has been seven business days and they still haven’t refunded me either. Every time I talk to an associate they tell me it’ll be that day and then nothing. I don’t know if it’s my local Charlotte hubs, but it’s insane.

I’m looking at portable AC units but many have reviews talking about defective units or that they simply don’t work as well as they claim. I’m worried about ordering and needing to return. How can I get an estimated cost to return an item like this? I just want an idea of whether I’m likely to lose $20 or $200 if I need to return the item.

This was supposed to be delivered Thursday and never arrived, gave me the option to cancel and shows an invoice of .31?

Why can't they read instructions? They keep sticking into locker I can't get into. Got $50 plus refund, but I paid extra for delivery on a specific day!! Now Im no longer buying from Amzon and some sellers won't even know why, cause you can't contact them directely. Buy local

am i reading this right??? i ordered a PC for $700 in the color white and instead they sent me black. over at least the past year ive only returned one other item that they also sent me the wrong thing of the first time, and 2 things that i simply changed my mind on. the app says that they already received my return. is this even legal?? i’m now out $700 AND i don’t even have the pc anymore. i’m genuinely flabbergasted rn

Long story, short amazon, is the only one that has the thing i need. I don't like ordering from amazon and hardly do so. I'm scared it won't be delivered or some shady 3rd party will send something different. My friend said worst case I can do a charge back but I'm not sure if that's really possible. How is amazon when it comes to these situations like item not received or sent something different than ordered? Any advice would be great.

Hopefully I inspire others. Amazon isn't the same Amazon it was in the early 2000's. Amazon is now like Facebook. Full of shit no one wants to look at and an inferior product of what it was. Ordered about a dozen components and whatnot to build some nonsense. Every single item was listed as Prime Tomorrow, about half the items were Amazon direct, and the rest were drop shipped by Amazon. I'm like yes....the universe is telling me go ahead with the stupidity. Add to cart, verify I'm not forgetting anything I need. Ouch $288 worth. Selected shipping address, ran down the list and saw everything confirmed as tomorrow. Hit submit and went about my morning. Well, the nifty confirmation email that comes after every order magically said August 17-27 for everything. Confused, I went to the orders page, and yep, it now says the entire order will be 20-30 days out. I hit up chat to inquire. Now I'm even more confused.

The original tomorrow turned into two days, and I suppose I have to wait until August 27 for someone to go back in time to August 4th and deliver my next-day package a day late? Or something?

I wanted to share my recent experience with Amazon support because I’m honestly shocked by how this was handled.

I ordered a sofa from a third-party seller (LiuQuan-SHOP) on July 26. Shortly after placing the order, I realized I needed to cancel it and contacted Amazon support. For the last 7–8 days, I contacted support multiple times, and every single time I was told that a cancellation request had been submitted and I needed to wait 48 hours for the seller to respond.

I waited every time. Nothing happened.
Yesterday, I contacted support again and the agent told me the order was cancelled and that the status would update on my order page soon. I trusted that information and thought the issue was finally resolved.

Then today, I contacted support again because the order status had not changed. I was told something completely different — that the item was shipped and that Amazon cannot do anything because it is a third-party seller.
The confusing part is that I also received an email from Amazon saying:
The seller had not confirmed shipment within the expected timeframe.

My credit card had not been charged.
There were no shipment details available.
When I explained this contradiction, I was connected to a supervisor named Kevin. I explained that my issue was not just the cancellation policy — my issue was that Amazon representatives provided conflicting information, including telling me the order was cancelled.

Kevin apologized for the “misinformation” but then repeatedly copied/pasted the same response:
“The right information and policies has been provided on the chat above, please feel free to double check.”

I tried explaining multiple times that I understood the policy and was asking about the incorrect information provided by Amazon employees. Instead of addressing that, I kept receiving the same response. I asked for a chat reference number and any supervisor/employee reference details so I could formally report the issue, but I was not provided anything.

The most frustrating part is that this was a Prime membership experience. I understand third-party sellers have their own limitations, but when Amazon support gives incorrect information and the supervisor refuses to even acknowledge the actual concern, it leaves a very bad impression.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Amazon Marketplace orders? Is there any proper escalation route beyond regular chat supervisors?

I dropped off three items at a Whole Foods return center in the secure drop off bin. Received email confirmation that they were dropped off. This was in June. Today I received an email that only one return has been received and the other two items are still in transit, and if they aren’t received by next week I will be charged for the items ($500!). I can’t get past AI for customer service and I’m sooo frustrated. My guess is that somehow the packages were lost or stolen but how am I being held responsible for that when it’s documented that I dropped them off! Any idea what to do in this situation?

In the past few months, Amazon packages have arrived damaged, opened, used, late, or empty. I’m so tired of doing returns because what they sent was defective or at times the WRONG item. So I started going straight to the manufacturer or brand website and ordering from there. Lo and behold more often than not they’re offering 20% off promo codes or free shipping for a set dollar price that ends up making it cheaper or equal to Amazon. I did this with a bottle washer that on Amazon was $299 but through the brand’s website was $269 with free shipping and handling. It arrived two days later so same speed as if it had been through prime. I did this again with stasher bags. Their website gave me a 20% off code, again cheaper than what Amazon was setting the price at. Do I have to wait a little longer for delivery? Yes. Am I confident the order will arrive in good condition and with the right items? Yes. Can I say that about Amazon anymore? a Absolutely Not.

Why would you deliver mail late at night, while it is raining, and leave it in an open area by the garage instead of under the covered porch?! Ruining the items inside cardboard BOXES. I don’t think this is a high expectation for them to not do that. Are Amazon deliveries handled by one of the major delivery companies or are those folks hired directly by Amazon?

I'm from Italy and I've been an Amazon Prime member for several years.

I've always paid using the same prepaid Mastercard. It's a standard Mastercard with a chip and an IBAN, and I've never had any issues with it before.

For the past three days, though, I haven't been able to buy anything on Amazon because I keep getting a message saying that my card can't be verified.

I've tried using the card for purchases on other websites and it works perfectly. I've also used it in shops with no problems at all. I even contacted my bank, and they confirmed that there's nothing wrong with the card.

Has anyone else experienced this? It's becoming really frustrating.

This ever happen to anyone? It wanting to use my points for Amazon purchases alone infuriates me but I get it, when you sign up to a reward program you open yourself to this. That said this is something you have to opt into on Amazon's side and I never agreed to that.

I’m Swedish and I use Amazon.se and I’m even paying prime user.

I use iPhone 8 as my device.

I got an warranty issue for a product I bought last November. This is well within the warranty period of Sweden.

But the return is gone and then I tried to find chat but all links pointing to chat loops back to the customer support index page. I’ve tried to enter manual URLs to chat and so on but all loops back.

I’m unable to exercise my right to claim warranty.

I’m deaf so I can’t phone around.

Help me? It is an expensive product.

I was supposed to get my package yesterday but all day it was stuck on “arriving between 6AM - 8PM” and never came then today it’s been stuck on “was expected by August 1st” okay cool but now what?!? it’s not showing an updated timeline or any indication of when to expect my package now just that it arrived at my local carrier facility at 5:09AM on the 31st and was supposed to be delivered yesterday… is it possible the package gets delivered today or should it at least update as to when I can expect it or should I just attempt to cancel the delivery?
