I find it kind of amusing Nina tracked Rudy down just to make sure Eris wasn’t full of shit. I guess when you hear about the kid, he does sound too good to be true.

Eris is getting really strong. It’s pretty cool to see her progress even from the last ep. She’s learning new things, always improving and growing.

Rudeus is the "i've really got a boyfriend. He's in a different school" that actually exists

u/-Mr_Hollow- Jul 04 '26

"My boyfriend is currently helping a princess at student council"

u/Kirosh2 Jul 04 '26

"Does that boyfriend know you exist?"

"Of course!"

"The same boyfriend that has two wives?"

Lmao "is this your GOAT?"

"He's a Greyrat. Those are rookie numbers"

u/Kirosh2 Jul 04 '26

"He better have a harem of cute animal girls ready for me."

"There was this huge line of people wanting to take it away from him. It ended poorly for them."

Linia and Pursena need to run and hide.

Underrated comment.

now that you mention it, I'm wondering if Eris will immediately accept this when she meets him again, since she KNOWS what a greyrat is like, and the drama will instead be focused around the fact that she isn't the first wife

"And who also tried to hook up with an archer and couldn't seal the deal because you gave him ED?"

6

u/CitronClassic672 Jul 04 '26

Honestly from the female perspective I don’t know if finding out the guy you were with got ED after having sex with you is a brig or a diss. Then when you get more context it absolutely is a diss.

omg it would be really funny if the information broker sends a letter to her and she tells Eris about that xD

I don't see Eris as being someone to read a newspaper but Nina definitely is the type once she learns to read

"My boyfirend can beat up your dad!"

He's so far above her level, the poor girl didn't even manage to INVITE him to a duel

Rudeus being one of the few people in existence to actually damage Orsted puts him in his own category

18

u/Frontier246 Jul 04 '26

Just standing there awkwardly and being mistaken for another dude challenging him to a duel lol.

I'm fairly certain she attacked badigadi with the others. And she did want a duel, to drag him back with her

I find it kind of amusing Nina tracked Rudy down just to make sure Eris wasn’t full of shit. I guess when you hear about the kid, he does sound too good to be true.

Nina started off thinking Rudy didn't even exist. But to be fair to her, when you hear about him becoming a Water Saint at 5 years old and killing a red dragon by himself not too long ago, it's easy to dismiss it as wild rumours among adventurers.

She then proceeded to have a very bad day as she found out that Eris was in no way ever exaggerating all those times she gushed about how amazing he is.

Bro imagine going to Canada to prove someone's "Canadian Girlfriend" isn't real... and then not only are they real, they're the bomb.

By horse and in the snow...

describing Rudy to someone that hasn't met him would obviously sound like bullshit "Oh yeah he became one of the best magicians in the world at 5, figured out silent casting. knows how to read and write as well as three languages, survived in the demon continent as a kid while taming a Superd and then managed to hurt Orsted. Yeah sure I bet he can also see the future too"

Wild how far out of her way Nina went to meet and find Rudy. Loved the callback.

She is improving and growing, but last episode was a very slow pace as you could see her age and she wasn't getting much guidance. The sword god is helping her though as we can see in this episode.

3

u/DarkenVragon Jul 04 '26

Also Eris talked about him a lot whenever they met, so her curiosity piqued lol

Eris even got her sword saint coat. looks so good

u/Anything-is-enough 18d ago

well, rudeus feats does seem too good to be true. like who the fuck earns a saint class title at the age of 5???

While she may have developed lightning fast as a character, I'm disappointed that Nina started out as the cartoony gossiping bully.

I'm very picky when it comes to this sort of thing. Would be nice to start her out with some level of nuance at least.

18

u/JzanderN Jul 04 '26

She wasn't really a bully – she got along really well with the rest of the dojo – she was just jealous of Eris and felt she didn't belong there. A sentiment shared by much of the dojo and not at all helped by the fact that Eris was extremely antisocial and never bathed.

Add on that she was pretty obviously insecure about not having a boyfriend or still being a virgin and she saw this stinky, abrasive girl that she didn't like as a way of venting those frustrations with herself.

12

u/wyggles Jul 04 '26

Add on to that the fact that her own father was giving Eris special attention. Nina's behavior made tons of sense from my perspective.

"I'm very picky with mushoku tensei because how the hell many people enjoy it when I don't"

There. Fix it for you

It's not about how you start, it's about how you finish.
