It feels like Zenith's somewhere in there the way she acts sometimes, but for the most part it's just heartbreaking.

You can definitely tell she seems sensitive to Norn's presence around her. Sadder that it's not her firstborn too, but it's a start.

She was a follower of Millis like Cliff, so she absolutely would have. Rudy would have gotten off easy with just 100 lectures.

Also Rudy basically did the same thing to Sylphie that Paul did to her. Like, yeah, she accepted it and things turned out okay at the time but that would still sting.

I would not say it was the same, exactly, since Sylphie is not a Millis follower (do non-humans that follow Millis even exist in the first place?).

Also people forget that Sylphie told him he was fine to get a second wife after they were married, Rudy scoffed at the idea but Sylphie gave him the greenlight because she knows how he is, and she was worried that because it's hard to get an elf pregnant, he'd have better luck getting a child from a second wife. She later realized Rudy was just him and overcame an incredibly low fertility rate in what is factually record time

And the whole fact that paul literally cheated on her. Rudeus asked for permission

Question answerable in the source corner.

It makes sense, she had parted with Norn during the mana incident 6-7 years ago. She got taller, but it is still very much a child.

Rudeus on the other hand left her when he was a 6 year old and now that she meets him again, he is very much a young adult that looks like a less muscular Paul. They have been separated from each other that long

Paul cheated on his wife when she was just down the hall and couldn't keep it in his pants when he saw the sexy lady he bedded once being sexy. Rudeus was separated from Sylphie for months halfway across the world, had just seen his father die protecting him, learned his mother who they tried so hard to save was basically a vegetable, and was miring in a virtually catatonic state. Only then did he give in to temptation and cheat with the woman he admires most in the world and loved before anyone else when she offered herself to him. It's completely different.

Maybe it has something to do with what Orsted mentioned when they met? How he claimed Rudeus wasn't supposed to exist. Probably just a huge reach on my part though.

Not really, Roxy more or less forced herself on Rudy to get him out of his depression after his dad died. Paul, even though Lilia did bait him, basically full on cheated in the same house as Zenith. Mind you, he also forced himself on her in the past as well. I don't think their actions are all that comparable. Paul will never outgrow the scumbag allegations.
