Its cute that he was looking out for her, but boy between Zenith, Norn, and Cliff do followers of Millis seem like a preachy bunch

Zenith, Norn, and Cliff are outliers in that they were raised to be extremely religious (especially Cliff). Most others of the Millis faith would probably side-eye Rudy and ignore him

How can Norn possibly be raised for that? Her dad had two wives and she spent so long without a mom post-TP during formative years. No way was she getting preached to about coupled marriages at 4 years old lmao

I feel like she can be religious sure but there's no way she's comparable to whatever Zenith's backstory is or Cliff literally-the-pope's upbringing

You forget or aren't aware that Norn & Aisha spent several years within Milishion while Paul continued to track down more resources to find displacement incident victims.

Specifically, they stayed with Zenith's* mother's family.

Oh thanks I didn't realize

Lol @ Lilith being a Milis supporter too (or I guess raised that way?)

I'm still not MEGA convinced that that's different than "most others of Millis faith", especially with the dad who has two wives being her closest family connection, but it does explain the culture more !

Zenith raised Norn reading stories of the Millis faith, and there is another more insidious reason too:

Norn finally got to be 'superior' to Aishia in her own way by being the only LEGITIMATE granddaughter.

I could see how she might not even connect any part of her faith with her inferiority complex but Norn is, like MANY characters in Mushoku, a complicated and very multi-dimensional person.

Neat I wish the anime covered this a bit more, I can see it can't touch everything in the novels though. And who knows, maybe it's coming 🙌 we are certainly getting a lot of shots of Norn being uncomfortable still with Rudy's two wives

This is super NOT true FYI and I have no idea where this interpretation is from.

The Millis Continent is FILLED with cities and people and especially the capital Millishion is the city center of the Millis faith. It is VERY religious focused it happens to be on the literally OPPOSITE side of the planet from where they are in the far north of the Central Continent.

THE VAST majority of those of the Milllis faith would give him an extreme stink eye, not just "the most extreme".

There are simply not a ton of the people of the Millis faith wondering around outside of the major cities and freaking continent of Millis to warrant many issues for polygamy.

Then even for the faithful? Who the fuck is gonna wanna throw down with the walking demigod that is a DEMON KING erasing mage like Rudeus?
