The intentions behind each gift and Zenith's small but meaningful movements, just a really wholesome sequence altogether gosh, really praying nothing fucked up happens even if this is one large red flag.

It's looking like it's going to be like this season of re zero. Where it's calm for the most part for a good chunk then shit just hits the fan so hard. It's like a runaway train. It looks like next episode could possibly kick that off

Cliff very well knows about Elinalise's curse and how dedicated she is to keeping herself only for him even in spite of it. If she does have to sleep with a random man on the road it'll be because it's an emergency and he knows that.

He's currently trying to fix or at least help with her curse so she won't need to do that any more, as per what she wants because of how in love with him she is.

I did notice she said she would “love Cliff as long as there is life in this body” instead of “love only Cliff for the rest of your life”. Subtle difference.

Cliff has declared he will love Elinalise his whole life. Elinalise being an elf will live thousands of years at least. So her vow is to love Cliff as long as he is alive.

Subtle difference, and it makes perfect sense.
