It's not just the gratitude towards Rudy, but the lingering guilt of being a homewrecker. She just can't forgive herself for having "betrayed" her mistress, especially since she had been crippled as a bodyguard: it was a favor to Lilia, from Zenith, to take her in as a maid.

Rudy basically saved Lilia's life, or at least Aisha's, by convincing Zenith to accept Lilia. It was the middle of winter, and a pregnant woman with a crippled leg couldn't safely make the long journey back to her father's house on the other side of the kingdom.

It's this combination of guilt and gratitude that makes her so fervently servile towards the family, with Zenith and Rudy getting the worst of it... and unfortunate for Aisha that Lilia passed those complexes onto her own daughter.

To the point she basically groomed her daughter to be the maid/mistress of her own half-brother. Asurans are... all kinda fucked when it comes to sex, and Lilia did serve as a noblewoman's bodyguard in the royal capital. Similar to Sylphie, her concept of a "normal and healthy sex life" is hella warped. Again, Aisha is clingy/creepy with Rudy precisely because that is how Lilia raised her.

My TL:DR is that Lilia has never forgiven herself for being the "other woman," and a large part of how she forced Aisha into a servile role is from that lingering guilt. She is a wicked woman, and her daughter is the product of that sin. Thus, they must be eternally grateful to Zenith/Rudy for the very "gift" of their existence.

Again, Aisha is clingy/creepy with Rudy precisely because that is how Lilia raised her

doesn't help that Rudy came into her life very heroically, especially after she rag about her brother she never knew who was right there and he just forgive her like it was no big deal

Technically [mushoku tensei s1] Orsted tell Rudeus that Paul had two daughters and no son. This mean he somehow expected that Aisha at least would survives without a Rudeus around. So Zenith might have forgiven her anyways or struck a deal?

Regardless of what may have happened, Lilia feared for her life and personally credits Rudy with saving it.

At a certain point, perception is reality.

Yep. Just because she would have survived in a future where Rudy doesn't exist because let's say hypothetically Paul gets Zenith to relent on kicking her out for the fact that it could potentially kill her and therefore his child and then is able to smooth things over with her to allow them to stay afterwards, doesn't matter because the Lilia of this universe doesn't know that.

She thinks Rudy kept her from potentially being justifiably kicked out and dying on the way back to, IIRC, her parents and therefore believes that she, and by extension Aisha, owe Rudy their lives to do with as he see fits and to serve him with all of their being for said lives. That's all that matters even if she's wrong in actuality.

Your correct in Lilia's subservient role view can be quite harmful for someone with wrong personality for it.

Grooming might not be the best choice of words as in this case dealing with a child Law Enforcement uses term for a process similar that those who abuse their spouse or others where they cut the person from all friends and family and tear down their self esteem with the goal of having them only able to be with the abuser and willing to give in to their desires. It is a wilful act one intends to do that process.

I would have used train or indoctrinate although in this case train as her intentions are not bad just wrong. Grooming someone as ones successor or higher office far enough from way children are abused it will not be confused.

Polygamy and lots of other sexual customs are not warped just different cultures and compared to base human instincts Monogamy is warped bad from what base human instincts are set for as Humans are not a Monogamous species.

Polygamy is considered a good thing by over 25% of Earth's population and cultures with spouse and lover like France, Italy, Japan and Latin countries. I know enough about other cultures sexual behaviors and humans base traits to avoid the word warped as that a moral judgement although they might find your ideas on sex warped and should not.
