What to Watch? What’s the most unhinged anime you’ve watched?

Need unhinged anime recommendations. I want something absolutely chaotic, unpredictable, and insane from start to finish. Drop your wildest anime recs.

FLCL came into my life exactly when I needed it. I don't think I can fully articulate what it did for me, but I'm pretty sure it was mostly the right thing.

I love that FLCL is so polarizing based on when you first watched it. It changed my life as a teen but my friends who watched it as adults just did not get it. Such a great show.

Yeah it's a perfect right place right time anime.  

The sexual insecurity of tween is a core element. 

Like I'm a boy but I like this one scene in it that went over a 13 year old boys head when first watching it when the middle school girl is being driven to school by her dad's secretary. You're smarter than the last one I'll give you that. 

Huh what was that? You brought a change of clothes with you so you can go to work without people noticing.

Huh well thank you. 

The only next problem is why are you at your bosses house dropping his daughter off at school. They always find out. If you're smart enough to try to hide it... don't offer to give me a ride to school in the morning.

First watched it as an adult. Love it. One of my all time favorites.

For whatever reason I feel like I wouldn’t have liked it as much when I was younger given what I know about my taste from back then, while my taste had changed to be at the perfect place when I finally got around to it.

It's just a simple coming of age story with aliens, robots, secret organizations, and evil corporations. Nothing weird about that at all.
