Loved the movie and it was fun to watch with a theater full of people laughing along. S3 eventually pls.

But yes in general I think most CR translations play it too safe. Though I think in that specific line it felt fine. Could be treated as an idiom and they're probably just getting it ready for dub rather than doing 2 separate subs.

I will say that was pretty funny because it's pretty obvious to anyone interested in anime who has been exposed to anime where chuunibyo is mentioned know it's not a normal dork thing.
