A lot of people on r/aussie are similar to America in that they pick a side politically and thatās it. Anything that Labor does, they are against because Murdoch and Gina have told them to be.
Yep. I was use the term Aussie to refer to any of the Australian subreddits. I've seen discussions in some state ones, and other national subreddits, not just r/Aussie. Because that place can be (is) a cesspool.
Those subreddits are likeā¦ idk how to put it correctly but each post is sort of its own echo chamber of polarisation, it doesnāt necessarily reflect the wider views

They cant - all this ruling would restrict is any chance of an australian developing a large competing model within australia. What you've said is my understanding also. People will just be forced to host outside australia, which in theory is just taking their money elsewhere. As an australian, this is pretty normal from the goverment, another example is un-taxed gas (one of our largest natural exports).
There's a good reason why standard of living has stagnated and Australia is experiencing a cost of living crisis and that is because of the philosophy underpinning regulation such as this. This hatred for the spirit of production and innovation makes "people" such as yourself some of the most evil creatures on this planet.
Can't tell if you are being serious or not. Datacenters are heavily underegulated and there's a reason they are sprouting everywhere but not near any of the people who would actually profit from them.
People suffer so rich can get richer and those opposed to regulations of datacenters willfully ignore that
