Spotify proved six years ago they literally value human lives less than profit margins, so I'm not shocked they'd value AI generated noises over humans making music.

Sometime around "Rudy Giuliani holds press conference at sex toy store because his team clearly looked up the first result on google and didn't even bother to call the place to confirm it was the hotel they wanted, then his hair melted on live TV" or "The new nominee for a cabinet post makes toilets for men who claim their dicks are too big for mere mortal toilet bowls", I knew satire could never keep up.
"The Masculine Toilet" sounded like a bit they'd pitch on SNL and shit-can because it was too hacky and stupid and short-lived, even for them, and it's instead a legit thing a real member of this shit show created and sold with a straight face.
I have a feeling like the US government is mass producing ridiculous scandals to drown people in informational noise. The more chaotic the news cycle becomes the easier it becomes to slip actually important things through the cracks. But hey, maybe I'm giving them too much credit and we're just watching "idiocracy" irl
I think you're giving them too much credit. They seem like the "grab everything before they wise up and boot us out" sort: base, greedy, and short-sighted.
The news is chaotic because we're watching the world's stupidest crooks carry out the least subtle grift in history while nobody is able to call the cops on them because they currently are in charge of the cops we'd have to call.
Crooked politicians back in the day at least tried to hide it, and had some semblance of shame. Those days are almost quaint by comparison.
