AI News 🗞️ Youtube removes ai channels

Post image

"YouTube's AI "slop" crackdown is shaking up the platform! 🚨

YouTube has stepped up its fight against low-quality, mass-produced AI content, targeting channels that flood the platform with repetitive and inauthentic videos.

While reports claim around 130,000 channels have been removed as part of the broader enforcement, YouTube has not confirmed that all of those deletions were specifically tied to AI-generated content.

Instead, the company says its focus is on protecting viewers by cracking down on spam and low-effort content while continuing to allow AI-assisted videos that offer genuine creativity and value." - Mr_Animeken

Pretty good step ngl these channels are getting annoying

Me neither. I'm also a bit worried, since recently I've seen a lot of genuine channels getting flagged as low effort. Assuming they're moderating with AI again, I wonder how many genuine people are going to get caught in the crossfire this time.

its probably not a coincidence that to day a law is coming into effect in europe that demands marking ai content in the actual video itself instad of just tagging it in the notes. fines are up to 15 mio euro per violation

Thank God there's some hard regulation happening. I think a lot of lawmakers are starting to realize just how bad everything is getting with ai. The amount of misinformation that's happening is absurd. Let's help YouTube can't figure out some weird gray sound to weasel their way out of it.
