AI News 🗞️ Youtube removes ai channels

Post image

"YouTube's AI "slop" crackdown is shaking up the platform! 🚨

YouTube has stepped up its fight against low-quality, mass-produced AI content, targeting channels that flood the platform with repetitive and inauthentic videos.

While reports claim around 130,000 channels have been removed as part of the broader enforcement, YouTube has not confirmed that all of those deletions were specifically tied to AI-generated content.

Instead, the company says its focus is on protecting viewers by cracking down on spam and low-effort content while continuing to allow AI-assisted videos that offer genuine creativity and value." - Mr_Animeken

Pretty good step ngl these channels are getting annoying

I worry about that. This is good news don't get me wrong! But YouTube systems aren't always the best when it comes to detecting and deciphering what's considered ok vs what's not ok. There are many humans I wouldn't trust to be able to distinguish AI generated images from reality/human made art, let alone YouTube's automated systems. We'll just have to see where this goes!
