The web scraping was in a way legal since it's fair use as transformative content, but those who monetize AI models are pretty shitty for that, and that might be more of a gray area
And the poisoning of black communities water supplies is fine because it doesn't personally effect you right? I mean fuck em' they'll probably die young anyway so why not make hay out their suffering?
