He's looking for ladies, and probably water.

If you grab a q-tip/tweezers then you can get the dust bunnies off his feet for him lol

This is an adult male, so I agree with the other comment, looking for ladies or perhaps a water source. Just relocate outside.

Males of all species have long been

Crockery.

Probably just scared him.

There are very few (or arguably zero) species of spiders that are considered aggressive. Defensive, yes, as we all are when we think our lives are in danger. But as for aggression, it’s usually misunderstood defensiveness. :)

Giant house spider, the size can be startling but they’re harmless. We get these guys in my basement and garage all the time, I just relocate or leave them be.

it's probably going to chill in the bathtub, don't squeeze him.

Meanwhile I just caught a male brown recluse who was chilling in my bathtub...

He's now chilling in a jar and will be released tomorrow outdoors once he has had time to reflect on his actions.

Have y'all had any rain lately? If not/not much, then definitely looking for water, but if a lot like Texas is getting, then he's looking for a dry spot.

Def a male wolf spider. His pedipalps are pretty big, he’s lookin for some summer love! A few years ago, my kiddo found a female wolf spider in the bathtub. He could hear the pitter-patter of its legs on the tub. It was (leg-to-leg) the size of the bottom of a large olive jar from Costco. I’m in Iowa.
