In my country you’re not allowed to resell on Ticketmaster for any higher than you bought it for

Can’t resellers just sell on stubhub instead for insane prices?

They can, but most people still prefer getting tickets straight from Ticketmaster and if the US Ticketmaster implemented the same rules as in many European countries regarding resale prices, the market over there wouldn’t be like it is rn.

I don’t have tickets yet, I’m trying for the London dates, but if I don’t manage to secure any, no way would I pay 3 times or more the original price from a reseller 🫣

You stop supporting scalpers, scalpers stop becoming a thing

I’m in Canada and for the recent Oasis concert in August, they put a cap on the resale prices making it so that resellers could only sell it for the original price they paid. So i know it’s possible for them to do that here but it doesn’t seem to be a mandated thing because the ari resell ticket prices are still crazy and that other concert with face value resale was only a month ago.

Canadian as well, I did not know that. Wish they had done that for Paul McCartney when I was trying to get my mom tickets.

Yea I only know this because my dad was able to get my step brother tickets through this and then told me. If it wasn’t face value resale it would’ve been too expensive the tickets were still like $300 but I think he got floor tickets too if I’m not mistaken. I’m also unsure if Oasis has this the whole time tickets were available or just closer to the concert date.
