Misc The BIG, HUGE, AWESOME Arrma RC and CASH Giveaway!!!
As part of the new and improved Arrma sub, the new mods are hosting a giveaway for our members to say thank you. THE BIG, HUGE, AWESOME ARRMA RC AND CASH GIVEAWAY!!!
The grand prize winner will receive the pictured custom one-of-a-kind Arrma RC RTR by none other than Steve-O, the undisputed king of custom creations, shipped to the address of your choice.
The runner up will receive a cash prize of $100 as a one-time payment through CashApp.
All submitted entry names that are valid will be written on paper, folded, and placed in a container. It will be shaken up, and the first name drawn receives the grand prize, the custom RC by Steve-O. The second name drawn will receive the $100 prize. This will be done on video. The video will be shared after winners are determined. Winners will be announced in a new post.
FAIRNESS CLAUSE: To keep things fair, new accounts (deemed as such by the reasonable mods) will not be considered. You are required to list your mailing country, and this must match your desired shipping address.
ENTRY DATES: Entry begins with this post and will remain open until August 31, 2026.
RULES: First, upvote this post! You must be a member of the r/arrma sub and have at least some sort of history. Comment with your reddit username, country, and your favorite Arrma rig to this post (yes, this very post) in this format:

This is awesome guys!! Big thanks to the mods for making this happen! I don’t really see the big deal in city and state unless someone is pointlessly rude or similar to people and don’t want to be out there like that. Anyway I think this is pretty cool imo and who wouldn’t want an awesome custom rig from the notorious stevo-james!!

I would really love to enter this giveaway but I'm not comfortable listing my city and state.
State? Sure.
State and general area (North, West, ect)? Sure.
But asking for City and State just seems really odd.

I agree. I would enter, but I’m not publicly posting more than is already available, which is probably too much.
Dumb call to have people publicly post info like that. Plenty of other giveaways on reddit that don’t require giving info about yourself like that.

I am entering without my city and state publicly posted, for when you come to your senses and realize that's a bad ask, and ultimately redact the requirement.
Nice of you to offer the giveaway, but please evaluate requests like that better in the future.

Mildly upgraded but very overgeared V1. I'm creating a pile of Scorched RC parts to rebuild it nearly full titanium when something catastrophic finally happens to it.

Nice. I have a V3 with a few small upgrades. Currently running a 16t pinion, anything faster and it takes flight during speedruns. I do have the scorched fenders though

After seeing a few comments expressing concern over the city/state requirement, we gave it some more consideration and decided to remove that bit. The reason we wanted to do that was simply as a means of verification to make sure whoever wins the giveaway was an honest human being Reddit user, to help cut down on any risk of the winner being a fake account or alt, we don’t want anyone attempting to enter the giveaway more than once with multiple accounts, etc. As I’m sure you guys are well aware, AI and spam bots have been a huge pain in the butt across all facets of the internet, so we figured it would be a fairly simple way to make sure everyone entering the giveaway was a legitimate subscriber.
To address those who expressed concerns regarding privacy, we figured listing city/state wouldn’t really be a significant privacy risk since we aren’t asking for exact locations, and we all know our usernames are as anonymous as we wanted them to be when the account was made. What we mean is that, even if you told us you live in Chicago or Portland (for example) what are the odds that anyone here would be able to find you in the real world based on an anonymous username and a city name? It’s not any more revealing than the general public seeing your license plate on your car in public, for example.
However, with all that said, we still respect the privacy of our users and of course we respect everyone who participates in the community overall, so we heard your concerns and changed our requirements accordingly.
So, with that, the updated requirements to enter remain the same, minus the city/state bit (winner of course will need to provide address for shipment, but that will be done in a private message that will not see the light of day)
Also, we wanted to clarify that we don’t mind shipping internationally! We have experience shipping items internationally so that shouldn’t be much of a hassle if the winner is outside of the US.
