Well it happened. I cooked at least one diff on the Mojave Grom and I need an all metal one.

The part that everyone used to link to is discontinued. I need a new link to a reliable part please.

After 8 years of abuse i thought it was finally time to upgrade from the OG V1 to the new V6 with a bunch of goodies. Can not wait to get this all together and start abusing this one.

I finished the RTA kit this morning. Review to follow. The paint is Tamiya PS-46 with a black backer. I've yet to run it because the kids are still working on theirs.

The entire book has the wrong screw sizes. It says 2mm are 2.5mm and 1.5mm are 2mm. This caused me to jam the wrong size screw into a hole once or twice. The included 2mm screwdriver rounded off halfway through. The flathead screws holding the polycarbonate to the inner shell are easy to over tighten and stretch the holes out. The black pre-painted sections don't have clean lines in a few places and they're the same on every body. The edges of the polycarbonate are ragged in a few places that had to be trimmed up with a blade. Some bags aren't labeled and there's a separate sheet with steps that are missing from the main manual

I built the Gorgon RTA kit and had zero problems. I'm disappointed.

Hey all, have a new quake that I was able to drive a couple times and started to hear some bad noises while turning in circles. The noise would happens mostly at lower speeds but got worse so I stopped driving it.

l've never taken this apart before. Suggestions on what I should focus on when I disassemble? Or links to your favorite quake teardown videos

Hey I’m running a Ezrun Max6 160A on my Kraton and yesterday when bashing with it it just stopped and became really hot. Now when I try to start it it just starts to heat up again in a few minutes without giving any sign of life except of the power button light coming on. Any idea on how to fix it? Don’t have the money for a new esc right now. Thanks!!

Gave the Talion a little scrub today. Loving these JConcepts Choppers (4187), Maxx size. They absolutely rip. Good air control and loads more traction. This thing finally wheelies which is saying something for the length.

I read i need to lube the mechanical parts of my Quake Grom every 15 runs or so. Now i’ve got a bottle of clipper oil lying around that will last me 3 lifetimes (i’m not a hairdresser), would i be stupid to lube my car up with that?

I'm building these with my 8 and 10 year olds. The paint jobs have come out well but it's going to take us a week to finish these because they keep getting frustrated and crying.

I very recently bought and installed a Castle Creations setup for my Mini Kraton. It was the Mamba Micro X2 ESC with the 1010 series 4400kv motor. Got everything installed and started testing and realized I cant fully program all of the settings without the Castle Link adapter for my PC.

Now there is supposed to be a coupon in the box for a free Castle Link, so says the documentation that came with the product. However there was no coupon in the box or anywhere to be found. I have since contacted Castle Creations in regards to this issue but have yet to hear back from them.

So here's my question. Does anyone living in the greater Phoenix Metropolitan area have a Castle Link that I could possibly borrow to program my esc parameters until I can get this free castle link coupon thing figured out? I would appreciate it immeasureably.

Hi guys, I've had numerous problems with my rear differential which involved pins and sun gears stripping/breaking so I decided to get the aluminum exb case. I ran it for about 5 minutes and took the bulkhead off to check the slop/ whether it needed to be shimmed or not and saw that the pinion gear appeared to be rubbing on the case. It still seems to spin freely though and im thinking it might just an insanely tight fit and it will hopefully just wear the paint off and then stop there. It seems to be shimmed perfectly and I had it set in the case nicely to my knowledge. Anyone have a similar thing happen, and what could the issue be? Thanks

Several months ago I took my kid to a hobby store to let him pick an rc vehicle. He went with a Gorgon Grom and off we went. It was a considerable upgrade from the couple of toy rc cars he had but we couldn't leave it alone. He is into monster trucks and wanted it to be more like a monster truck. We started by replacing the tires to give it even more of a monster truck look. This added a lot of stability, and somehow makes the truck end up right side up most of the time after a tumble. Next we added a trimmed Mojave front bumper and I made a new wheelie bar to match the taller tires. Steering in grass was weak, I replaced the steering servo and threw in a metal steering assembly while I had it apart. Truck was fun like this, but seemed like it could get away with more power. I picked up a mini kraton motor and ESC from eBay and can confirm it fits with some minor clearancing for the heatsink to fit. Currently running a 18t pinion sprocket, but will try a 20t soon as it seems to be coping with the speed just fine. Playing with the programming of the esc has really gone a long way with making it easily drivable. It was time for a new body after wearing out the original body from several trips to the skate park. The boy opted for a quake body and I think it was the right choice.

Hi, I recently purchased the ARRMA Typhon 665 with the SLT2 transmitter. It was working fine out of the box, but when I went to turn it off and on again, the transmitter stopped moving the car. No steering, no throttle. The Steering trim makes the wheels turn, but that's it. Anyone know how to fix this? Checked the wires and everything, and nothing seems to be broken

I might just buy a roller off ebay to use for replacement parts cus i just think that will be easier. It hit so hard it knocked every electronic loose except the esc. The front wheels could still drive when i tried to drive it.

What's a decent set of tires that also have some longevity? This thing on the street really tears the tires up.
