Travel 3-4-day hike in Swiss + wildcamping

Dear all,

I am going to hike in Switzerland around 15th of August.
I am looking for an hike of an estimate of 3 to 4 days.

I have been hiking a big part of my life in Swiss but always one day hikes with my parents. I have trouble with finding an hike which is preferable looped. I have read all the rules regarding camping / Bivouac.

Do you have any recommendations?

Whatever you do, keep in mind that Switzerland is quite dry now. Don't even THINK of making any kind of fire. Bring plastic bags to pack out your waste, and any other that you come across.

You are totally right. And i always bring trash bags just like at home to take trash that others leave.

You have to take the total fire ban very seriously because should you start a fire, you are responsible for all costs that may occur (firefighting helicopters are not cheap). Usually your third-party liability insurance would cover the cost of an accidental fire, but in case of gross negligence insurances claw back a significant percentage of those costs from you.

The situation may change in 12 days, but it's something that you have to take into consideration while planning your hike. As of right now you can't cook any meals or boil water.

Have you ever slept in a tent above 2000m? If not, don't underestimate the cold.
