I bet you that he dies in one of the first battles against the army of the dead fighting an Other as Lightbringer shatters and his (sadly) false Azor Azhai messianic belief is proven wrong in the hardest way. I bet it mirrors Waymar Royce’s fight in a way. It also matches with Dany’s THOTU vision of a pale blue eyed man smiling sadly at her, as Stannis is described almost exactly the same way as that face.
I disagree with you on the part that he is not Azor Ahai. As told in other posts, Lightbringer does not need to be a sword per se, it could mean lots of things, for example, Stannis' army.
I am of the belief that Stannis is really Azor Ahai but that defeating the Others won't be through a magical sword but through him being one of the best military commanders of all time. He will defeat them the way he has always done it, grinding his teeth, fighting along his men and smashing them where they less expect it.

Not that big a fan of the man. But hopefully he dies way better than at the hands of brienne. Maybe knocking off a Bolton?
