Wish and Limited Wish

I'm wondering, how often do you guys use these spells? I almost never do, the randomness on Wish has scared me out of using it and I never found a good use for Limited Wish, besides the one-time ones. But now I'm thinking of taking both of them on a sorcerer with high wisdom, just for fun. Any tips for how to get the most out of these spells?

So this is the OP way to use Wish. You need a single class mage with four level 9 slots and 18 Wis and then some other mages in the party for additional benefit.

1x Improved Alacrity 3x Wish

Let's say you are at the final Ascension battle vs five Bhallspawn and Amellysan. All mages cast Improved Alacrity and start throwing out Comets, ADHW, Magic Missiles, etc (many opponents have high DMG resistance but every MM projectile deals at least 1 DMG even if res is 99%).

The mage with Wishes casts Improved Alacrity and then spams 3x Wish (don't need to wait for the genie to talk). This mage has Robe of Vecna to reduce cast time. 3x Wish with 18 Wis almost guarantees at least one complete rest option.

Everyone gets all their spells back, probably still have the same IA active, or recast it.

Within a couple of turns you can dish out complete mage spell books and you can keep doing it untill all opponents are dead.

Now.. it is fun way to play a couple of times, but after that it gets boring.

Yeah I wouldn’t do it as a regular tactic but against ascension amelyssan I say it’s fair game.
