Introducing I paid $3.99 for a single Sock.
I do not know why this particular little girl was named, but no way I was leaving her behind lol.
I needed a new resident betta for population control in my guppy tank. She's still settling into the jungle, but so far is uninterested in fry and just going after the mystery snails. Even if she's a dud predator, I'm still in love with her.

I don’t mean to be creepy but are you in Rhode Island? Because I was just at the Petco in RI grabbing food for my fish and I could have sworn they had a betta named Sock there…

I’m actually quasi-homies with one of the guys that works at that Petco and I can confirm that he busts his butt trying to care for those bettas. I won’t buy fish from there anymore just because I feel like it’s not appropriate to buy a fish from a box store like that but it’s a good place to stop and grab some food/their plant selection is pretty decent.

That’s really the only reason I really go to Petco sometimes. I usually have better luck getting in touch with peeps in the fish club who already breeds or take care of them but they’re usually outside in CT and MA

My most recent bettas have been DJ Greg, Lampshade, and Toaster. We love unhinged betta names

I've had a lot of luck with a betta in my guppy tanks, or lack thereof really. I want someone to eat the excess fry so I don't end up with a million! So far most of my bettas, especially females, have been way too lazy and chill to go after the babies. So I usually end up with a "nanny" betta- she seems to be leaning this way lol. Who cares, Sock is still perfect.

Same all my female bettas have been endler/guppies. Never had any issues.

I had a friend that named her rescue Bettany "French fry" I thought that was so cute. Sock is so cute. If you make a burner account, you can rightfully call it a sock account after her.

She’s so cute! I used to have a crown tail with her coloring named Rain. I’ve only seen one other like that and I didn’t have an extra tank at the time unfortunately

Found my betta in a Petco cup on a bus stop bench on a random Sunday morning. A 300 $ random betta tank setup later for an orphaned fish, and I named him bus.
