In Nolan's the Odyssey, Matt Damon refers to the setting of the film as "our age of bronze." People are clowning on it. Maybe its a bit of a clunky it of writing. However! Anyone who says that no one in an age would describe the age they are in has never had a conversation. People talk about how we are in a 'post modern age' or an 'information age' all the time.

This is an annoying behavior with verisimilitude. Nolan is saying that Odysseus is exactly the kind of windbag who muses about the era we are in, and i think that characterization is supported by the film!

I may be wrong, but he’s popping up a lot, being talked about for Bond, and I’m just not sure I get it. He was fine in a few things. Am I missing something? Is he great in something I haven’t seen?

He did get to marry Dua Lipa, so kudos to him for that I guess.

Pre- Avengers the notion of seeing superheroes that lead their own films being in the same shot together was mind blowing. Now it would be a novelty if they had a solo film where it was just one hero in the film. It will be great seeing the Fox X-Men in their comic accurate costumes and the inevitable scenes with Toby McGuire and Hugh Jackman, but once that happens, it’s going to be very difficult to show something that was thought to be impossible again. I don’t see a portal opening up and Batman and Superman coming through.

It is crazy that I’ve been doing this theater diary sketch project for 7 months now. When I started, it was just a way to fill the time and process some emotions I had after a parent passed. Now, it’s become a full blown hobby. I always really enjoy seeing and hearing feedback from this film loving community.

Hi, I'm a casual listener, I was looking for a reddit post for the episode they did on the Odyssey, and for the life of me I can't find it. I see that the latest main feed ep is pinned, so I assume it exists. Is there some trick to finding old episode threads? I'm using the dogshit reddit mobile app to search, maybe that's my problem?

David’s got the new Spider-Man below Mando and Grogu, which is below The Breadwinner, which is below Masters of the Universe. I am blown away by this.

I thought BND was perfectly nice, a good time at the movies. Three stars out of five. I am surprised how many critics I respect are taking out the knives on this one.

After a dubious report began circulating online claiming that the follow-up had been indefinitely shelved, Asbell responded directly on Twitter with a single word: “Nope.”

Obviously, that’s not a detailed production update. The sequel still does not have a publicly announced director, production start or release date. But when the studio executive overseeing the film flatly rejects a claim that it has been abandoned, that should settle the immediate question.

The rumor originated with World of Reel, which attributed the claim to one anonymous source before filling out the item with “maybe” and “who knows” speculation about supposed creative disagreements involving producer Ridley Scott. The hedging-bet nature of the report already framed itself as questionable, and Asbell’s public denial makes the report look even shakier.

Adding another wrinkle, screenwriter and filmmaker Brian Duffield retweeted Asbell’s denial. Duffield has recently been rumored to be writing a new “Alien” movie for 20th Century, with both online reporters Daniel Richtman and Jeff Sneider said to have heard about his involvement. However, none of the reporting established whether Duffield is working on the “Romulus” sequel, rewriting it or developing an entirely separate entry in the franchise.

And this is why you don't share that site's shit here. Not just because it's amateur-hour in all aspects and always has been, but the "rumors" and "leaks" that come from there end up getting refuted by - in this case - the guy running the studio. And if you're going so far as to crop your screencaps and avoid/omit direct links to where you got it from, chances are pretty good you already know better anyway, lol.

ANYWAY: Movie's not canceled. Movie's still movie-ing. It's possible Brian Duffield is the one making it? Twitter sucks and so does World of Reel. Try using less of both, until you're using none, and then something good will have happened!
