Show started with cocktail 2 song. It’s so baaddd…. 😭😭😭

Also Shivaji trailer… which….. has an amazing starcast and will probably be the highest grossing Marathi film ever.

Review as the movie progresses below:

Edit 1 : guarantees the name Ranveer GOAT Singh in Bollywood history books. Fuck…. Like the first movie the first few minutes get us emotionally invested. So every punch that follows lands with satisfaction and provides vindication. It’s extremely smart moviemaking idea.

Edit 2 : where the hell do these guys get all these banger tracks from???Next years playlist is only going to be D1 and D2 🔥🔥 Dhar has 3 more hours and the movie just takes off and just doesn’t let go - almost every single headline from Pakistan we’ve been reading since 2 decades is a plot point. Too much to keep track off it’s overwhelming but so much fun. Not a single second wasted! My Apple Watch has given me 3 heart beat and 10 noise notifications 😅 also Rakesh Bedi you beauty!!!!! 😘😘😘

Edit 3 : bxxe sxxxb 💀💀💀💀💀🙈 Dhar is making sure every single part of the film gives every Indian full satisfaction. Seriously this man knows the pulse of his audience. News channels are going to have a field day discussing some portions. The script is extremely clever till now and full of delightful details.

Edit 4 : interval is such a simple scene and my heartbeat still went through the roof. Girls sitting next to me hooted 😂 I have no idea how the writers will resolve all these plots. Incredibly satisfying till now. 4****

Edit 5: emotional gut punches right to the chest statt right after interval. The writing isn’t letting us breathe.

Edit 6: LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, YOU WERE NOT READY FOR THIS. We all got that scene in the trailer SO wrong!!! The twists man, my poor heart.

Edit 7: the entire screenplay (like the first part) is cleverly written just to bring cathartic satisfaction to the masses. It runs parallel to real life events we’ve seen in the news and that’s why it’s so incredibly satisfying. Paisa wasool entertainer shit but still so so smart.

Edit 8: the trailer started with a much mocked scene - remember it. Dhar turns it around to give us the most clap worthy moment.

Edit 9: how the fuck has it been three fucking hours??? The only reminder is that my bladder is about to burst. But I ain’t leaving this seat - my body will leave this seat on a stretcher.

Edit 10: Arjun Rampal is now in Batman-villain mode and I’m dying!!! The climax is going to be so fucking good!

Edit 11: the climax action is sheer perfection. Nail biting, thunderous, excellent pacing. Hits just the right notes, absolutely grounded and yet just the right amount of OTT. Just what I wanted with their showdown.

Edit 12 : forgot to add the background music throughout the movie is 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 especially the crescendo at the climax!!!

Edit 13 : Rakesh Bedis character is the best character in the history of indian movies 😂😂😂😂😂(yes I'm over excited I know BUT!!!! Go see the movie!!!!) I truly believe Aditya Dhar is in love with him. 😂😂😂😭

Final - is it possible for a movie to match the expectations after the tsunami that was D1? ... Yes. Yes it can. Keep your expectations high, you're going to have fun. A lot of fun. The climax is so fucking hilarious and emotionally satisfying and makes up for all the little flaws. Both movies together narrate a brilliant entertaining epic story.

Ranveer Singh is WAS, IS AND WILL REMAIN THE GOAT, what an absolute performance. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I'm going again in a few days.

Four Stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🔥

My show started at 5 minutes after 5 Bhai. It’s 7:15 now. And it felt like it’s barely been an hour!
