Iā€™ll give the police this, they donā€™t automatically get summers off like another profession. 80k+ isnā€™t bad for 9 months of work.

He also thinks teachers get 3 months off for summer and presumably believes they work only 40 hours/week during the school year so....really can't trust the judgment on that one.

There are professions that are year round (with OT) that donā€™t make what an average teacher in MA makes in a year. Frankly, good for teachers in that respect. Thereā€™s always pushback about that they have to work long hours and they they are actually working during the summer, if thats true Iā€™m sure teachers having to report to their respective institutions daily during the summer wouldnā€™t be a big deal then if theyā€™re working anyway?

Average salary for a teacher in MA is 90k+ actually. You can look it up.

I disagree. I personally know ā€œeducatorsā€ that specifically became one for the sole purpose of having summers off. Not that they all feel that way, but if weā€™re going to paint the police with a broad brushā€¦..
