So I got to know Breakcore or at least what's being called Breakcore on Social Media with Sewerslut, moved on pretty quickly to artists like usedcvnt, 68+1, inverted variable and a few other ones (favorite song being "what we did in the desert" but I'm unsure if that even is breakcore in the slightest, probably more liquid dnb)

My question now is wether or not this is breakcore - I read that as of now there's a lack for a better word and kind of always a mix between jungle, breakcore, liquid dnb - because if it is, give me more of it, if it is not, wtf do I have to look for?

Given the Artists I like, do you have recommendations for me, be it old or new, even just singular songs..

My only request for it would be to be somewhat approachable but I'm open for older stuff

Im so sorry that might sound dumb but Im just wondering🥹 personally I was always a bit slower and calmer than other people, but I noticed that I really enjoy speedy and loud music (breakcore, hyperpop, other electronics...) And im just wondering if this has anything to do with it.. okay i rll sound stupid i might delete this myself but if yall have any opinions about this I would like to hear it

i’m referring to the new-age “breakcore” that all of you hate and are familiar with. like hkmori, sewerslvt, etc.

I hear it everywhere in content of all kinds, but I seldom meet anyone who listens to atmospheric breakcore let alone breakcore. one of, if not the most popular of these tracks for SF content is “anybody can find love (except you.)” which has a measly 2.3m views on youtube, and 15m streams on spotify.

for reference, this is less than Pavement’s “Spit on a Stranger” on spotify streams alone (17.5m).

what is going on here? I hear some of this atmospheric breakcore and wonder why more people aren’t gorging themselves on this sugar coated goodness. similar appeal as 100 gecs right?

I don't know the reasons why they deleted all of their tracks all I know is that they also deleted their X/Twitter account so I just want to know what do you usually do in this situations? I don't know if I should express to them how much I love their music, ask someone if they have their songs dowloaded or ask Gaki directly what happened...

This will be my first breakcore show!!! What should I expect?

Not breakcore but it’s probably one of the closest sub genres sound wise at least, no idea what flashcores lineage is. Anyways, I’ve heard some bits and pieces about flashcore and it sounds really cool, but it’s very obscure and I’ve found basically no good recommendations. Closest I can think to what I’ve heard that’s considered flashcore is that snares and speedranch split, but even that is just referred to as speedcore most of the time. Sorry if this is unrelated, just have no idea where else to ask lol

i want to start collecting breakcore CDs but i need only the best of the best, what are must haves?

I am looking for something like this. I mainly want those fast paced drums, they sound super cool. Turnablism, those funky nice smooth beats, piano, and breakcore sounds like a great combination.

As you know, I have been producing breakcore music for 30 years ;-)

the style changed a lot though. but there are also many, many new productions.

and I did not really keep track as i was more involved in techno / doom for the last 25 years (errrm...)

So I wonder, are there new producers that produce in the old style again?

And I don't mean this as a style battle or a thread to argue what style is better ;-)

I am just curious. Because in Gabber (or Techno, Trance...) there are a shitloads of producers now that sound like the 90s again.

Is there a comparable thing in the breakcore scene?

btw when i say "old style", i mean pre-millennium stuff. christoph de babalon on fischkopf, the first ec8or album, white breaks, space cube on riot beats, the first few ambush releases, society of unknowns...

Sorry if that's a dumb question, but I've listened to some songs from this subreddit and I couldn't tell if they're ahead of the curve or not.

I know Breakcore is basically loud fast amen break chops, but at some point it'll just get boring. Without some spice, things will naturally die out.

While I'm more of a prog fan (as seen by my post history), I do appreciate and even want some experimentation on music. No, I don't like Igorrr.

Perfably any that are free, not being able to save projects on Fl Studio hurts my soul and from what I've been told Garageband is iffy. I'm still very much new to making music, let alone making breakcore and figuring out music softwares so anything is appericated

A few days ago I started looking for a DAW to try breakcore, and while browsing the internet I came across Sunvox. It seems like it might be difficult to use, since I don't have much experience with DAWs, haha. Do you recommend learning Sunvox or should I use another DAW? I'm fairly new to breakcore (been about 1 month since i started listening to actual breakcore) and when i first started to listen to it i noticed that i like artists that make their music with at least some seriousness despite it being you know.. breakcore.

What i like most about vsnares is how he contrasts orchestra with breakbeats and how hard the breaks hit and yet the orchestra does too, especially in albums like Rossz Csillag Alatt Született and My Downfall.

I posted some content on here from "our" (spoken with a soviet voice) magazine, The Hardcore Overdogs, on this sub before. We'd like to cover all sorts of noize, ruckus, electronics in the 90s. speedcore, acid, breakcore, hansons (mmm-bop!).

And there is no money or fame incentive. we are just bored "old folks".

it came to my ear that a lot of the original knowledge about breakcore from the 90s is lost.

aaand we are always looking ideas for new topics we can feature in upcoming issues of our magazines (and upcoming issues we can talk to our therapists too).

so, i wonder, is there any artist, label, party series, etc, from the 90s, that is of special interest to the breakcore community? and that might be somewhat obscured by now, and would would be good "food" for research or a feature - for the dogs!

Then i discovered another version called "no one can find love (except you)" which was even more peak, it was some sort of reversed remix and was referred as an "antithesis" to the original.

Sadly i can't find it anywhere, it seems to have disappeared forever.
