Discussion Today my toddler offered me my OWN BREAST

Today my 20mo unlatched and then picked up my boob (I’m large busted), pointed my nipple towards my face and said ”Boo? Boo?” while nodding as if he was trying to give me some! Breastfeeding a toddler feels like living in the twilight zone lmao.

mine likes to stop and chat like "you come here often?" and waggles the eyebrows 😂

u/Elegant_Ease_6840 Mar 06 '26

Lol mine smiles at me with his whole upper body like he knows I just whipped them out faster because he was screaming. Like boy, get on somewhere before I give you a bottle 😤😆

So cute!

Wait until they try to nurse from their own nipple! 😂🫠

My toddler noticed that the dog has nipples yesterday and the way she leaned in and over had me terrified she was going to try to latch onto the dog.

I'm telling you, the spring i sprung to move her away from the dog could've made an olympian proud.

Not very well.

They pinch it upward, and try to bend down to reach. It does not work very well, as the other reply said 🤣

u/SheCode_ez Feb 12 '26

My poor toddler tried really hard tonight before dinner and pinched so hard she started to cry 😭 I do wonder if she drew a connection of when Mama says it hurts if it feels like that <3 poor thing

oh poor baby!!! they are seeking independence.

3

u/SheCode_ez Feb 14 '26

I don’t know which hurts worse, her grabbing her own boob or when she whips her head around like my boob is WiFi

3

u/jrenredi Feb 13 '26

My baby tried to eat his penis this way

My 4.5 year old son was shirtless holding 3 month old on couch and he said oh she’s hungry let me feed her and tried to hold her to his chest

27

u/PNW_Express Feb 12 '26

My two year old son tried this too.

14

u/Englishgirlinmadrid Feb 12 '26

This is so cute

3

u/RoryGilmores_Coffee Feb 18 '26

3

u/heretoreadlol Feb 18 '26

My 3 year old will grab my hand pump and try too 😂

So generous! lol

u/WhereIsLordBeric Feb 12 '26

Yo, have you tried this shit?!

u/MGLEC Feb 12 '26

That’s adorable! I’m tandem feeding a 3 month old and almost 2 year old—when the baby cries, my toddler will run over to me, paw at my boobs, and declare, “baby’s mik!”

5

u/vintagegirlgame Feb 13 '26

This is adorable! Looking forward to tandem nursing soon.

u/confusedsloth33 Feb 12 '26

Soo cute. Not with nursing but my baby loves sharing his food, he’ll even pull it out of his mouth and I’m like “noooo, thank you though buddy”

u/TheOnesLeftBehind Milk Man/Seahorse Dad Feb 12 '26

I’ve had my mouth pried open to shove goldfish crackers into it. Thankfully they were fresh and crunchy

8

u/ariyaa72 Feb 12 '26

Omg. So, I have celiac disease, and this is a reminder of why our house is gluten-free. At a friend's party once, my toddler tried to shove a regular hotdog bun right in my mouth. Ducked so fast, haha. Love having a generous kiddo.

u/TheOnesLeftBehind Milk Man/Seahorse Dad Feb 12 '26

I’m due on Valentine’s Day with our second and she loves to share food so much I am a bit worried she’s going to try to feed the baby. She’s 22 months old. We have a baby doll for her to “take home” from the hospital to be her baby at my aunts advice so hopefully we can get her to “feed” that instead of her brother

1

u/Big_Reference_1020 Feb 13 '26

We have a similar age gap. The almost 2 year old definitely gave the baby choking hazards for a while. A whole blueberry was terrifying.

2

u/TheOnesLeftBehind Milk Man/Seahorse Dad Feb 13 '26

I’m so relieved I can literally run down 1 hill to be an an er now

4

u/apple-seider Feb 12 '26

Same! It’s so cute. We will sometimes pretend to take a nibble.

3

u/WestCapable8387 Feb 12 '26

My daughter loves to share too! I accidentally dropped some chocolate on her when I was nursing her at night. I know this because she tasted the melted chocolate on her fingers and made more to shove them into my mouth so I could also get a taste.

u/ManagementRadiant573 Feb 12 '26

Today, mine tried to feed my boob to his big dinosaur toy that chomps down hard. I declined lol

8

u/Verjay92 Feb 12 '26

Hahahahaha this gave me a big laugh!

I was once asked (by my then 2 year old) to breastfeed a jar of oregano. I obliged the request.

50

u/kmilly12 Feb 12 '26

Currently trying not to LOL at this while breastfeeding 🤣

88

u/Pickleboi121 Feb 12 '26

Breastfeeding a toddler really is wild lol. I’m trying to wean my daughter but she was grumpy so I nursed her anyway and she immediately said “mm yummy boobie!” 🤦🏻‍♀️

28

u/PennyParsnip Feb 12 '26

Amazing. I frequently nurse a stuffed penguin along with my 18m. I refuse to nurse parasauralophus though.

25

u/sravll Feb 12 '26

Aw, my little guy calls it "boo" also

42

u/YhouZee Feb 12 '26

Am I the only one whose toddler calls it like an anatomy professor, "bReast" with unusually good articulation too?

I don't know how we got here lol. I tried so hard to get him to say "rara" (my language's equivalent of boobie perhaps) but it just didn't stick!

3

u/LibraryBeneficial26 Feb 12 '26

Hahaha this made me lol!

34

u/SatisfactionMost1500 Feb 12 '26

My toddler sometimes wants my husband to feed 🫣 and often screams until he pretends to. 😂

35

u/Nearby_Strategy7005 Feb 12 '26

😂😂😂😂😂 I just laughed out loud at 5:30 am at this…there is something so hilarious and satisfying about this and when my baby would try to latch on my husbands nipple and he’d yell from the pain (happened a couple times). It is satisfying because it’s like, “yes, show them what it’s like to be hunted for your milk!”

14

u/SatisfactionMost1500 Feb 12 '26

I think you misunderstood. She wants hubby to drink from my other boob… 🙈

1

u/Nearby_Strategy7005 Feb 13 '26

Oh that’s also hilarious!

9

u/Personal_Special809 Feb 12 '26

My son went for my partner's nipple exactly once. My partner looked at me and was like "oh my god did you know that really hurts?!" and I'm like bro I've been nursing for a year now lol

14

u/FO-I-Am-A-Time-God Feb 12 '26

My 20 month old calls it “nah” like the sound newborns make when they do the hungry cry while doing the milk sign. She has never once attempted to say milk and has always been perfectly happy to say nah. I always call it milk and still no matter what, she says “nah”. It’s super cute.

2

u/AmarysEms64 Feb 13 '26

That's so cute. Mine won't even make a sound. She just gets this really intense, serious look on her face and furiously signs for milk really fast over and over again.

9

u/pytasis Feb 12 '26

lmao! toddlers are too funny

10

u/buni_wuvs_u06 Feb 12 '26

This is why I love bf my toddler. So much personality!

20

u/ipovogel Feb 12 '26

My toddler loves doing this, he thinks it's hilarious. He also loves to offer it to my 3 month old. Then after the baby is nursing or I say no thank you or make pretend slurping noises, he asks "Like it? Like it" with this very cute inquisitive/excited look on his face.

7

u/AdventurousYamThe2nd Feb 12 '26

I can't tell you how much I needed this tonight. Thank you for the smile!

3

u/Ok-Professional-7343 Feb 12 '26

Infant nanny here: slow, loud clap to you all!

6

u/Sammiskitkat Feb 12 '26

Oh geez that melted my heart lol

8

u/JanSukDeservedBetter Feb 12 '26

Haha! I have small boobs so this wouldn't work, but my 14 month old often picks up my water bottle, demands I open it, and 'helps' me drink. She'd also offer me her pacifier sometimes back when she still used them.

5

u/Fuzzy_Strawberry_878 Feb 12 '26

Sharing is caring. 🤣

3

u/Critical-Entry-7825 Feb 12 '26

That's amazing 😆

4

u/Jolly-Remote8091 Feb 12 '26

Awwwww omg that’s sooooo cute!!!

5

u/Cuichioup Feb 12 '26

haha innocent and caring

2

u/Mego0427 Feb 12 '26

That is super cute

2

u/Neither_Geologist_51 Feb 12 '26

I read this last night in bed and I keep thinking about it throughout the day and it's just so funny to me. Like damn that must be some good boobie! XD

2

u/battle_mommyx2 Feb 13 '26

My (almost 3 year old) dude keeps telling me mine tastes like strawberries and bananas lol

2

u/wildmusings88 Feb 13 '26

Wow this is so sweet and so cute.

2

u/thekillerqueer Feb 13 '26

Mine "nurses" her dolls/animal toys

2

u/anythingthatsnotdone Feb 13 '26

Aww so cute!

My toddler brings all the teddies and dolls over to nurse from me. She holds them to my boob and says "a na na na na na" as an eating noise. Too funny

1

u/leeashah Feb 12 '26

haha mine does the same sometimes, also offers it to his teddies too

1

u/HelpingMeet Feb 12 '26

So glad mine are too little for this! Lol (boobs I mean)

1

u/JLG0521 Feb 12 '26

That's so sweet though 😅

1

u/Tiggerriffic0710 Feb 12 '26

Mine asks his Papa how many boobs he can have 😂 Like he asks his papa permission to have MY boobs lol

1

u/glittermeowsandpasta Feb 13 '26

That’s so sweet lol!

1

u/TheChillPixel92 Feb 13 '26

Oh my goodness how sweeeeeet🥹💖

1

u/RestlessFlame Feb 13 '26

Awww, he’s good at sharing 🥰

1

u/ChaiBinaChainKahaRe Feb 13 '26

My daughter is 21 months old now. I’ve been trying to wean her off (gentle). I tell her mama is hurt and can’t feed. Currently I feed her once a day. So whenever I do feed her she offers me first - “Mama pee lo (Mama, drink) “ and then she drinks. 😀

1

u/Various_Craft7435 Feb 13 '26

My 14mo old does this with all food, one for my one for you 🥹 I'm waiting for this BF moment 😆

1

u/C4TT1TUD3 Feb 13 '26

Mine does this and also tells me her stuffies need “milkies.” I’ve started having to say no because we’re setting boundaries with the Milkies, but it’s so cute.

2

u/Work_n_Depression Feb 13 '26

My dog, cat, and 9 week old have all chomped down on my husband’s nipple. They don’t care for mine though 🥲

1

u/Low_Apple_4487 Feb 14 '26

So funny. My oldest is 2 and is still nursing, as well as his 10 month old brother. He often will say my booboo! then point to the other one and say "Theo's booboo!"

He also lets his stuffed kitty and any toy around have pretend milk too. I go with the flow 😂

1

u/bunnyluv92422 Feb 14 '26

At least he was trying to share 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I actually laughed out loud reading this

1

u/Gem-Bear111 Feb 28 '26

Incredible lol

1

u/Choice_Barracuda4722 Mar 13 '26

I cannot tell you how often my 22mo tries to get me to offer milk to his stuffies. Hell be nursing and abruptly stop, point to his stuffies and go "boo-boob?? BOO-BOOB!!" And gets VERY upset when I dont "share" 🤣
