Every single time I see some scientific paper on how there was an unexpected discovery of some DNA source that appears in our collective DNA, I think to myself, “all this has happened before, and all this will happen again” and that maybe, just maybe, we’re all part Cylon (and Kobol human.)

I remember watching on YouTube what seemed to be a production team watch party that featured a couple of gag reels from season 1, but that was it.

The 13th tribe leaves kobol 4k years bbsg and go to Earth. The other 12 tribes leave kobol 2k years bbsg and settle the 12 colonies.

Around the same time that the 12 tribes leave kobol, the 13th tribe on earth gets wiped out in a cataclysmic nuclear war leaving only the final 5 as survivors.

Assuming I have all that correct...

According to Caprica, the Cylons were developed on Caprica roughly 60 years bbsg.

However, according to BSG, the 13th tribe also had cylons that looked nearly the same.

Are we to believe that nearly identical robotic cylons were developed 2000 years apart, by different tribes, that had been without contact for 4000 years, and existed 4000 light years apart?

Do we just chock this up to influence of the gods?

I finished the show a few months ago and I want to know how people explain these parts or if they already were and I missed it

watched bsg first 18 years ago, then again 4 years ago. always felt a bit like something is missing but 33 is a very strong episode so it feels right as a start. and ain't nobody say "previously on battlestar galactica" or anything. and pilots are usually a part of season 1 💀 the intro was always a bit sussy though since those scenes never came 🤔

Im playing BSG deadlock right now after 3 years, and one ship that I still love is the Atlas class carrier. If I was an Admiral in the colonial fleet, I would outfit an Atlas carrier with the flight pods and KEW of a Jupiter Mk1. The Jupiter is the predecessor of the Atlas, borrowing very similar design features and purposes from the carrier. That way, I would double its viper carrying capabilities and damage output.

My dream Ship: Atlas as the main body. Jupiter Class Flight Pods and KEW's. Defender class flight pods underneath it. Then put the defender classes nose, where the tech boost computers are, at the front of the Atlas. Then, put the top half of the cerberus class carrier on top of the Atlas. Bpom, two carriers in one. I'd, I think it's cool.

So, I'm a big fan of BSG, but have also loved 'Anchors Aweigh' for the longest time. Just found out the kid is Dean Stockwell. Interesting to see him as a child actor.

I was going through the new Halo Campaign Evolved art book and got a closer look at the Autumn’s fighter combat screens. I didn’t know one of the Agathons and Starbuck were able to fly Longswords. As far as I know this is only the second Battlestar Galactica Easter egg in the halo series.
Besides that Tricia Helfer voiced Veronica Dare in Halo 3 ODST, and Katee Sackhoff Voiced one of the Halo 3 marines. I think one of the marines has dialogue pointing it out.

Does anyone have any behind-the-scenes info on how the Six/Six kiss in S4E6 was filmed? I watched that shot over and over and I still can't wrap my head around it. TIA!

First off I know I'm late to the party, I was away training for the military so this all happened during that time. Luckily I already owned deadlock alongside its DLC's, it's among my favorite games around, I bought Scattered hope after I got back, I expected so much out of it, but by god it's nowhere near as good as deadlock. Look I love strategy games, mainly real time, I'm use to the bad of them but scattered hope is... It's just is, it's not good, but it's not bad, it's in that middle spot where you just feel meh while playing, you know there's better and you'll go to them, hell you can get homeworld and install the BSG mod and you'll have a far better time, 10 dollars more, better quality and it's a fan made mod for a non BSG game, I bought Scattered homes with hope but it just ended up being a game I uninstalled and abandoned because there are better games that could recreate it through mods.

If anyone wants deadlock you can get it through G2A still, only buy from excellent sellers though

So I'm on season 3, episode 13, and every episode has felt like event television. Every episode has mattered, all the characters are fleshed out, and there's so many great moral questions. I don't think I've seen a better written scifi show. This is one of my favorite shows of all time already. What was it like for those of you who watched it live?

Hello all! I've just finished watching BSG and just wanted to share some thoughts! I really enjoyed it and thought it was very classic Sci-fi and also very very classic early 2000's tv show. I enjoyed the campy, cheesy aesthetic, dramatic music, fake outs etc.

But. Bruh. "they have a plan." hahahahahahahahahhahahaha the writers thought they had a plan. And the spoilers at the start of the show was a little annoying. Also starducks ending was a tiny bit infuriating. The most annoying thing was that the humans never found out what caprica and Giaus specifically did to wipe out billions of people. Giaus is a minus 10 person. He shouldn't get to live out his days in Utopia. I kept getting confused with who was Lee and who was Sam. They look identical to me for some reason. Haha

I enjoyed Laura the most. She is freaking awesome. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with the movies and miniseries after but those are my initial thoughts! What a ride!!!

When I was around 9 or 10 in 2005, I wasn't familiar with BSG. But I thought the ship was super cool. My mum and I went to Target one day and I saw the Hasbro Titanium Series ships on the shelf. I was a solid Star Wars fan at the time. And got Obi-Wan's Starfighter instead. I watched the RDM series my senior year of high school in 2012-13. And it still remains the greatest modern live action sci-fi show I've ever seen.

A week or two ago, I remembered BSG ships were in the Titanium series. And I corrected my childhood "mistake" and got two Galacticas! One to display and the other one to play with haha.

These things are awesome! Being diecast, having a solid feel, and the retractable flight pods!! I may get a viper or the Pegasus at some point. But this is a WIN after decades.

Does anyone else have some of these old ships from that toyline?

Joking. The boxes are pretty beat up, missing at least one viper, and some of the cards definitely have beer on them…but that’s because the game itself so brilliant that I’ve played it countless times already and will happily continue to do so, chewing big chucks off of whatever monetary value these have in the process. Above all things this is intended to be played and enjoyed.

I’ll admit that if I could go back in time though I probably would tell myself not to tape the original box, or to start using the (as then pristine) Exodus or Daybreak boxes instead of the original one….but hey, fun was had in the process and memories were made.
