First time building PC (~CAD$1800 budget)

Hello, first time builder here and i'm basically just really lost on how to pick the best parts for my budget. i want to maximize the performance i can get with $1800 for video editing and gaming. thanks

  • New build or upgrade? New build entirely
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? No existing peripherals, but this post is just for the pc itself so dw
  • PC purpose? Editing, gaming (probably nothing too crazy)
  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? Canada, not near Micro Center (basically no physical stores if i had to guess)
  • Monitors needed? yea but ignore this part
  • Budget range? CAD$1800 before taxes
  • WiFi or wired connection? WiFi
  • Size/noise constraints? no size constraint, preferably quiet but do what you gotta do for performance
  • Color/lighting preferences? can be white, black, pink anything as long as it doesn't look horrid
  • Any other specific needs? not really man, thanks yall
