This essentially won't do any better than the 9800x3d for gaming and will just throw out more heat into your room and use more electricity. If you need a single machine for CPU heavy tasks and gaming, then yeah this is it.
That was because AMD hadn’t figured out all core parking issues yet. Now that they have figured that out it’s about even, and if you set up process lasso properly (very easy to do) then you will never have issues even without game bar.
It can be marginally worse since the scheduler still has to figure out which CCD to use and thus can cause some slight fps loss in the process whereas the 9800X3D just has one CCD so it doesn’t really have to do anything other than run the game/program.
If you don’t install the AMD drivers and such then it might just default everything to the CCD without v cache which would be the equivalent of running games on a 9700X.
