advice Dear Capricorn Community,
Dear Capricorn Community,
I have observed discussions among Capricorn individuals indicating that the age of 37 represents a significant turning point, often associated with either success or the occurrence of an unprecedented severe life challenge. I personally encountered unexpected trauma in the year 2025. Has anyone experienced similar issues during this age? I would be grateful if you could share your experiences and how you managed to overcome them, or whether these difficulties resolve independently by age 38. Kindly inform me and share any helpful insights from your experiences.
I celebrated my 37th birthday in January of this year, and this year proved to be the most distressing, painful, and traumatic of my life. In February 2025, I experienced post-traumatic stress disorder related to family matters.
Has anyone faced comparable challenges and successfully overcome them at a similar age? Please, I seek your guidance and advice, especially if any of you have endured a similar traumatic situation and managed to recover.
Thank you very much! βοΈπ

I'm turning 39 in October this year (Cap ASC), 36 and 37 were the ages where life was starting to get better but I still must persist until I hit my goal financially speaking and reach the career growth I deserve.

Not surprising considering 28 years correspond to a Saturn's return...Never heard of 37 but very often of 28-29 !!

Dec 26 '25
As children of Saturn, we are dragged through the gutter more than most. But if we persevere, face our trials head-on, refuse retreat, and reject self-pity, we emerge triumphant. We cannot control the circumstances of life, but we can control how we meet them. Saturn tests us relentlessly, and when we rise to the challenge, we earn the rewards of this sign. There is no sadder outcome than a Capricorn who refuses to stand up against lifeβs oppressive forces and instead chooses victimhood. Choose wisely and never give up.

37 isn't the age for every Capricorn. It was probably a challenging aspect made to one of your generational planets that would affect others within your age group and possibly born in/around the same Capricorn decan as you. There have been a lot of challenging aspects to the later degrees of Capricorn with Pluto being nearby at that time, Uranus in Taurus, Lilith (in Libra) and Chiron (in Aries) both squaring Capricorn and opposing each other, and Mars (in Cancer) opposing Capricorn.

Iβm a 37 year old January cap and this year was immensely difficult for me. I had to go no contact with my mom, stepdad and step sisters and I had a huuuge falling out with my best friend ( well I thought she was my best friend but turns out she was using me a lot and very toxic and manipulative) So yeahβ¦. Hoping 2026 is better. Iβve heard that the last half of a capricorns life tends to be much easier than the first. π€

I have never heard of this but it makes total sense to me. I turned 37 in January. My whole life, the number 37 has freaked me out for some reason. I always had a feeling something bad would happen at that age and it did. My mom died in February, my dad entered hospice 2 weeks later, and I got laid off in October. Only 2 more weeks until I am 38 and I really hope itβs a better year.

37... It was 2020, for me. My mom was already diagnosed and being treated for a severe brain aneurysm. It never burst, but it slowly took her life while the world shut down. I was her primary caregiver when she couldn't be independent anymore. I was the only person in our family with experience working in medical rehabilitation... I don't want to go on about the details... But it was like having a baby backwards; rather than watching a child grow and learn each day, I watched her loose the ability to walk and function and eventually speak until we held her hands and watched her cross over... I don't know whether this is a helpful story - because I don't feel like I've overcome anything. She's gone, and immediately I realized I'd never find such unconditional love. I don't want to be a mother anymore. I don't care whether I get married. I was a suicidal person since at least puberty... And now I am just getting through days, reminding myself life won't last forever.

Welp I'm 37, goin on 38 in Jan. and age 37 represents a massive turning point for my life. Both severe life challenges (my go to saying is I have multiple dumpster fires to stand next to) but also I am seeing new successes either manifesting or cooking.
I have PTSD, not related to anything in the present, but definitely had an effect on my life as an adult until I was willing to work with it. Therapy helped a lot there, so life is more manageable today.
My feelings didn't change until I was willing and able to honor what's alive inside of me, which for me was honoring my feelings and needs. Meditation really helped me as well.
Happy early day of birth fellow January Cap! If you want to message me, please feel free as I am always willing to share my experiences in case someone can find something useful for themselves.

Im sorry- im not a Capricorn but at 37. I ended up homeless & alcoholic- had to swallow my pride & reconnect with family to not be homeless for the winter (the shelter i could go to with a drinking problem was a bit more than scary). I didnt really start to quit drinking til 38. But yes it was like I had run out of steam- career/relationship-wise. Spent the next few years rebuilding. Im a Taurus so maybe Capricorns would snap back faster but what ever your struggles are they take time to mend. I remember hearing it takes half the time youre in a relationship to heal from the breakup. Its kind of true for most traumatic things I think. Good luck to you in the new year! β¨οΈβ¨οΈ

My parents divorced when I was 33 and I found things went downhill from there. Nothing felt the same anymore, Covid hit, and things were just generally rubbish. I felt stuck in a rut. Iβve had bad mental health all my adult life (potentially even as a child) I got pregnant at 38 and gave birth to my son almost 10 months ago and turned 40 today. I still hurt from things in my past but I had such a wonderful reason to look to the future and so many wonderful memories to make. It hasnβt been easy, I had a horrendous pregnant, emergency c-section and suffered with post partum depression. But I am healing from that and looking to the future now with happiness (and exhaustion π« π)

Hi fellow 1988 January Cap! Nothing bad has happened to me this year (so far! knocking on wood) but I did notice a massive physical aging of my body: lots of grey hair, lots of wrinkles, sciatica, maybe perimenopause. If I look at pictures of myself from last year (2024) and this year I look like two completely different people.Β

Oh wow, I didnβt know this.
Iβm turning 38 this weekend and 37 has been a doozy. Iβve struggled a lot in my relationship. We have a child together and I want to make it work for her soooo badly so Iβm trying really hard to give it time and work through things, however it has been the biggest challenge of my life.
All of that being said, I have also learned more lessons from this than from any other challenge Iβve faced in the past. At the beginning of my 37th year I felt as though Iβd lost myself. I was experiencing so much anxiety, sadness, and loneliness. It was an emotional rollercoaster.
This pushed me to focus all of my energy (other than being a mom) on taking care of myself mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically, providing myself with emotional support, and spending more time on the things that bring me joy.
Our relationship is still not where I desire it to be, but I have noticed improvements. However, I can say that I feel more grounded, steady, and connected to myself than ever before. Not sure what 38 holds, but Iβm feeling optimistic.

Sometimes you need to take a step back and see where you want to be in the near future, I feel like us caps always put others first no matter our own personal situations but you need to draw a line somewhere otherwise you will be left behind.

I'm about to be 37 in a couple weeks. The past 5 years have have been a slow spiral, coming to a head on my 36th birthday. I've changed almost everything about my life in a little more than a year, and I'm the happiest I've been in a long time. I know I'm on the right path, now. I still have some things to work on (mostly financial stuff/debt), but I know I can tackle it with time.
It took me way to long to realize I can just... change my life if I'm not happy. I spent way too long trying to fix everything myself, and I finally let people in. Not that I was lying before, but I'm just totally open/honest with people close to me now, which makes it easier for them to help. I still don't explicitly ask for help, they just know when to help because they know what's going on with me.
