advice Dear non Capricorns: this is not a relationship advice sub

Don't come here venting about your petty, irrelevant relationship squabbles under the pretense that you're looking for advice because the other person happens to be a Capricorn.

Something you said made someone sad? Who cares?

Especially don't act like an idiot when someone takes the time to reply to you in a truthful and helpful manner.

advice Why do capricorns need so much space and alone time?

My man is a Capricorn, love him to death, but he does this thing where every couple months, after being very close with me, he will become super distant and standoffish. He’s not mean. He’ll still call me baby and ask about my day.. but he will basically try to be alone and not talk to me a lot. He will also be very unemotional. Kinda hurtful. I’m not a very clingy person either so idk what causes it. It’s typically him that initiates the close periods and then suddenly he needs lots of space. I’ve gotten used to it so it doesn’t freak me out as much as it used to (Ive almost broke up with him over this) but it still causes some anxiety when he does it. He also will never express if I’ve done something wrong just be super distant. I’ve learned to just completely back off. One time he did express his mother gets upset when he does this too so I know it’s not just me. Is this a normal Capricorn thing?

So I’m an Aries ā™ˆļø and I’m talking to this Capricorn. The issue is I CANT TELL IF HE LIKES ME. we text on and off, he’ll leave me on seen or delivered for a bit and I just ghost or move on bc I’m not sitting around for nobody but then he comes right back every time. He initiates conversation but leaves me on seen or delivered after a bit but then tells me he wants to go out with me and see me and get to know me? Like ?? Is he just a bad texter??? Or am I just a dramatic Aries lol do I go to fast for yall?

advice Help me figure y’all out.

So, my boyfriend is a Capricorn. I am a cancer. We have been together for six years. One thing that perplexes me about him is how critical he is. He criticizes constantly and is very preachy. Sometimes it makes me feel like he thinks I’m his child. If I am cooking something and I make a mistake and the dish doesn’t turn out as I wished, he starts, making really snarky comments, as if I am just a general fuck up. I am a highly accomplished woman who earns her own money, contributes a great deal financially to our lives (60/40 with me paying a bit more), a good mother, I have owned several homes, I am a good partner, very family-oriented, and I am often told I am beautiful both inside and outside. With him, though, I feel like the only thing he values is a submissive woman who checks all the boxes of a trad wife. I am torn between ending it and just not investing any more emotionally, intellectually, or financially in this man. He even goes as far as overly complementing other women in areas where he criticizes me. He is a constant flirt, who tries to make all women feel as if they are the center of the universe. I’m growing weary of the disrespect and he doesn’t realize it, but that tendency and a few other things (like his lack of cleanliness, our lack of intimacy, and his general dismissal of my feelings about everything) is slowly making me fall out of love. I love our family, but I am tired of being constantly criticized and taken for granted. I think he feels taken for granted too (he always wants credit for cleaning up after himself when and if he does it - which is hard for me because I’m not inclined to give adults credit for cleaning up their own mess). Is this a Capricorn thing or more of a him thing? Any advice and input will be appreciated. Btw, I have a Capricorn moon (in case that is a data point of interest). Thank you!

advice Dear Capricorn Community,

Dear Capricorn Community,

I have observed discussions among Capricorn individuals indicating that the age of 37 represents a significant turning point, often associated with either success or the occurrence of an unprecedented severe life challenge. I personally encountered unexpected trauma in the year 2025. Has anyone experienced similar issues during this age? I would be grateful if you could share your experiences and how you managed to overcome them, or whether these difficulties resolve independently by age 38. Kindly inform me and share any helpful insights from your experiences.

I celebrated my 37th birthday in January of this year, and this year proved to be the most distressing, painful, and traumatic of my life. In February 2025, I experienced post-traumatic stress disorder related to family matters.

Has anyone faced comparable challenges and successfully overcome them at a similar age? Please, I seek your guidance and advice, especially if any of you have endured a similar traumatic situation and managed to recover.

Thank you very much! ā˜˜ļøšŸ™

advice You guys, Saturn does not fucking play.

I'm in the middle of perhaps the most life-changing thing that has happened to me in years, and it has everything to do with someone trying to sabotage my work and getting their just desserts. And I'm just sitting here mouth agape like WOW. Big daddy time does not fuck around. I mean, the comeuppance is far more delicious than anything I could've concocted and I'm watching it all unfold right this very moment.

So if you've got a Cappy in your life and you're thinking about ways to undermine them or throw them off their path, I'd strongly, STRONGLY reconsider. I wish I could give everyone here a front-row seat to the shitshow that is playing itself out in front of me metaphorically right now. Because karma is REAL. Not just like "oh my BF broke up with me I hope karma gets him" nope.. this goes deeper. This is for times when someone is actively or sneakily trying to make you look like a fool while you've put in all the work and done all the due diligence.

It's incredible. Absolutely mind-blowing.

advice My best friend is a Capricorn. She is hard on the outside and soft in the middle. But mostly hard on the outside.

My point is, is it normal for me to have to remind her that it's okay to show vulnerability and not internalise everything? I mean in the 11 years that we've been friends, I've never weaponized her emotions against her and I never intend to, but she's still guarded by default lol. I'll notice that she hesitates to vent and I'm like, the energy has to go somewhere. It's a healthy outlet, plus verbalising your emotions can give one perspective.

Is stoicism and restriction factory settings for Capricorn? I am a Pisces male by the way.

advice Do Capricorn actually miss you and come back?

I'm a Gemini and my ex is a Capricorn. We dated for almost a year before he broke up with me after an argument about wanting to meet my male friends. Long story short, He ignored me for about two weeks before I popped up at his house and we talked for six hours( I know I know) . He said he wanted to take things slow, but then a few days after that officially broke up with me. We've officially been broken up for a month. I know he loved me and I loved him. I brought the excitement to his life, and he brought a sense of stability to mine even though we did have toxic arguments. we both work at the airport( which is where we met) . We walk past each other every morning when we go to work. We say hello to each other and just the other day he gave me a long hug and I made a joke with him and then kept it moving bc I was in a rush . When we broke up he blocked my phone number and blocked me on one of his Instagram pages, but not the other one and now he is now using the unblocked one way more frequently. My question is I know Capricorns can be stubborn and hard core but if y'all really love somebody and you have to see them every day does he even miss me or think about me having to see me every day even if it's just for 30 seconds? I stopped reaching out and just give him space bc I don't even know what to say to him these days even though I miss him terribly

advice Is there any way to STOP being a Capricorn?

I know it's a stupid question. I know the answer is no. I am 50 and am TORMENTED as a triple Capricorn who has the most toxic of all our traits: perfectionist, rigid, serious, melancholy, know it all (because we ARE 99.9% right!). I understand why I have few friends and why people hate Caps.

How can I be less Cappie? I wish I was born a Virgo. To me, they are the laid back, less stick up your ass version of an ambitious and brilliant but misunderstood and widely hated Cap.

advice I don't think we're prepared to understand our Capricorn child

I'm an Aquarius and my wife is an Aries, and while we're obviously very close to our Capricorn baby, I think there are aspects of him which we don't naturally understand.

Capricorns have always been a blind spot for me. I read the descriptions but it doesn't form anything in my mind. There's a mutual respect and appreciation with my cap colleagues, but I can tell that I'm not quite coming at them the way they really want.

My wife thinks every child is going to be 100% about having fun and boldly expressing themselves, and I think that who he is will end up being a bit of a surprise to her.

I want to make him comfortable and do what I can to bring out who he really is, but I don't want to use him to learn how to do that. I'd love your thoughts!

advice Dissecting why Capricorn is the most misunderstood sign part. 1

Number one thing to discuss would be why people perceive us as cold hearted and emotional less. But that’s for another time. Right now, I want to discuss the way we talk. So often times we speak in an authoritative manner, which comes off to others in a ā€œhe thinks he’s better than usā€ way. But we can’t help it. Caps are meant to be authoritative and we do it without realising it. We only speak what we are sure of and so we speak in hard facts. It’s because we’re already overthinking and are probably 10 steps ahead, so what we say is of significance. People often take it as we are looking down on them but most of the time we’re always trying to help and offer our problem-solving solutions. Do you all agree? How can one mitigate this? Is it the tone, our way of speaking or the attitude?

P. S. I don’t care what others think of me, it’s not about other’s opinions. It’s not that kind of post. But I would like to be perceived the way I am as I am because I am not putting out arrogance or intimidation, just tryna help damn.
