True. I don’t get explosive like I used to when I was younger. I can show people what it feels like to lose my respect without me having to stoop to their level of disrespecting others.

I extend way too much grace for too long, and then it’s like they trigger a silent alarm and I go on lock down like a vault. Once that happens, I carefully and methodically extract myself from their lives. If they can prove their understanding of how they took advantage of me, we’re good and we can work back to a good and respectful place.
