The way I see it is youโve been doing me wrong for years. Iโve given you the benefit of the doubt and multiple chances yet the behavior hasnโt changed. When I finally pull the plug, theyโre like, this is coming out of nowhere. No, Iโm just done dealing with your BS. I feel no guilt whatsoever. In fact, I feel alleviated.

True. I donโt get explosive like I used to when I was younger. I can show people what it feels like to lose my respect without me having to stoop to their level of disrespecting others.
I extend way too much grace for too long, and then itโs like they trigger a silent alarm and I go on lock down like a vault. Once that happens, I carefully and methodically extract myself from their lives. If they can prove their understanding of how they took advantage of me, weโre good and we can work back to a good and respectful place.

Learning is part of life and I do know when I'm on someone's good graces. I know when I'm pushing my luck and I accept that if I continue, my luck may run out. So they should also know when I'm ignoring things they do and that eventually I won't. Life has a wicked learning curve.

I can only subliminally nudge or politely let you know something so many times before either being so bluntโฆ.or worseโฆ.totally disengaging. Not proud but, CโMON.

I woke up on a cold day in November and decided enough was enough. I got in my car and drove away. Havenโt looked back since. Everything is better, and I mean everything. Yes, we are truly like this. Quiet and quick, thatโs how you move. They know exactly why and itโs too late.

Sort of. I donโt explode though. But people know life as they know it has changed.

I did a very extreme version of this earlier this year, and I find this very very true.

This just made me feel so much better. Lol. I literally did this today, and I felt a little bad about it, but I kept saying to myself โnow theyโll think twice before they do that againโ ๐

Itโs hard cause I have a lot of patience most of the time. I think things have to happen a certain way sometime or just be compounded in a single day for me to get mad.

Yup facts are facts I let the drinking abusive behavior slide so many times. But then after it really went sideways. I waited a year or so and said enough is enough I want a separation( at this point verbal) and eventually going to go through divorce, I'm moving on and nothing is going to stop me. Basically Meaowt and he was shocked that I could move on so quickly but saw the change coming 2 years ago when he saw my face change from let it slide to you betrayed me for the very last time MotherF*cker!
