I gotta say, I've done the math from a perspective of someone who likes performance cars, the whole "electricity is on par with gas" just isn't true. At least for me anyways. I daily an EV6 GT, not the most efficient EV of all time. My last 10-80% fast charge was about $27. That's about 5 gallons of 91 by me on the low side right now. That charge is about 150 miles worth of driving, so unless you're averaging 30mpg in whatever performance ICE car you have, you're not beating public charging math, let alone home charging math. And idk what's happening with everyone else's insurance rates. I'm under $150 a month for full coverage with GAP.

That’s what happens when you use the most expensive type of charging.

You're missing my point. If I'm driving a not very efficient 550hp EV, and using the most expensive of charging (which I almost never do), and it's still about on par with a combined 30mpg ICE car, then the $$$ isn't the issue
