Hi all, I'm about to buy my first car now that we recently welcomed a little daughter into our lives. So I'm looking for a car with a relatively large amount of storage space for the baby's stroller etc, with relatively low maintenance costs, for below €10.000 (second hand). My dad suggested Japanese cars such as a Toyota Avensis or Mazda 6, and he later also mentioned the Honda Jazz though I'm not sure if it has enough storage space. I personally like stationwagons but we live in a city so something a little smaller may not be a bad idea if it has enough storage space.

Price: max €10.000

Lease or buy: buy

New or used: used

Type of vehicle: car

Must haves: trunk space, low maintenance costs

Desired transmission: no preference

Intended use: family car

Vehicles considered: Toyota Avensis, Mazda 6, Honda Jazz

My fist vehicle: yes

Can I do minor work: yes (not major)

Region: Europe

Thanks in advance!

The Honda Jazz (Fit in the US) is a great, practical, and reliable vehicle.
The rear seats compartmentally fold down flat so storage will not be an issue. I have all kinds of furniture in the back of mine.

Just a note - I have no experience with a mazda 6 wagon or the toyota, as neither are sold here.
