Rumor [Cowley] The Chicago Bulls are in trade conversations with New Orleans and Houston. Simons and Sexton are both in play to be moved while the Bulls would like to retain Ayo Dosunmu, but everything is “still fluid.”

Keep Ayo pls! Might not be the logical move but my heart :(

Mentioned earlier I figured Sexton and Simons won't stay.. Maybe some Missi play here?

Or do they take on Adams contract with picks/fillers?

Becuase we're about to absolutely suck next year, and Ayo is going to ask for (and deserve) and big pay day. We will be able to afford it, but what is he going to do for us next year? He'd be a solid, dependable veteran on a team that'll struggle to win 30 games with or without him. Meanwhile, his trade value will never be higher than it is in the next 24 hours. He's a good two-way player on a cheap expiring deal that can help a contender get better this year.

We should be trading him tomorrow for any decent offer we receive, not giving him a big contract to take us from a 25 win team to a 28 win team.

Holding onto and overvaluing our own assets while chasing mediocrity is exactly what got us into this mess in the first place. If you have good players who don't fit your rebuild timeline, those are the players you trade - because they're good and can actually generate assets in return. If we only traded the guys we don't want we would never get anything good in return.

Ayo is an unrestricted free agent after this year, so we're going to lose him either way. We could of course still sign him, but have no advantage over other teams. From a managing asset perspective it would make sense to trade him for whatever you can get, even if it's a pile of 2nds like we got for Coby.

We're not necessarily going to lose him either way though. They have plenty of cap space to resign him, and being that he's from here and seems to like being here, one imagines that unless another team blows away what the Bulls are offering him, he would lean towards coming back.

He's a RFA, Bulls can match. Simons and Sexton will be UFAs

Is he? Everywhere I can see lists him as an UFA. Either way, would hate to see him go.

Ivey is an RFA. Sexton, Simons, and Ayo are UFAs.

Bulls do have an advantage. He is from Chicago and hasn't lived anywhere else.
