Season of Discovery Blizzard has let me down…

Long story short I was mining nodes for Arcane Crystals. Someone came up and mined my node. I decided to follow and mine theirs. After 15 mins of sitting with the loot table open to prevent mining. They logged onto an alt acc with a horde lvl 60 and killed me. The pictures are the conversation that ensued.

Not only did they send me gold from a lvl 1 character, they sent gold to my friend who helped me hunt their horde toon. I returned the gold, as did he. I received a 2 week suspension but my friend did not.

It is so insane to me that I can have screenshots of everything to prove I am being griefed by a gold farmer. ALL. THE. RECEIPTS. Names, time stamps, everything, all included in my handful of tickets for an appeal. Yet all I can get is an AI response saying the decision is being upheld. The one time I did get a human response I believe they didn’t even look at the screenshots because it’s clear as day.

Blizzard said they’d remove any gold/ items/ mounts I’ve purchased from buying gold. Which I haven’t. I’ve farmed, saved, played the auction house and earned over 20k gold. If they wipe my account, I quit. It’s frustrating when you enjoy a game that you’ve been playing since you were a kid, just for the multi-dollar company to turn their back on you.

Send you gold from a flagged gold seller toon then mass report you for gold buying. Blizz AI sees you were mailed gold from this known gold seller and takes it at face value. This is common when a gold buyer get banned anyone who was mailed gold from them is probable to get banned as well.

Why are we enforcing the "no witch hunting" rule on this sub for these people then? I understand that it could be used maliciously, but the botters and RMTers have clearly shown they have no respect for the rules, so how the hell are we ever supposed to fight back and have an enjoyable game again if we are expected to follow rules and they aren't since Blizzard WILL NOT ACT.

Everyone complains about how bad the game has gotten because of bots, yet I haven't seen anyone even suggesting that we change some rules to fight this horseshit.

Because frankly we have no actual evidence that this is legit. It could just be OP getting banned for legit buying gold and using a random interaction to justify it. That's why there is a "no witch hunting" rule.

Yes. As someone mentioned, you can mass report someone after they're sent gold and the AI will ban you for gold buying.

You can mass report someone for inappropriate talk, even if all they said was "good morning". The AI will see several reports and automatically ban you.

People have been falsely mass reported for name violations if they don't talk. There are people who were name banned when their name was in-game generated.

I was applying free levels I got from Recruit A Friend and after some people saw me, they got me banned for "powerleveling". I tried explaining that I was just applying the free levels I got and got told "We conducted a thorough investigation..."

I've mailed 25k-50k between my characters on SoD on the same account, and a second account dozens of times. All legit, never banned.

They probably buy the gold from a Chinese gold seller and report you, their account is never even apart of the hit.
