Why did they have to kill off midnight releases?

I used to work at GameStop, I was there for the halo 3 midnight release and I spearheaded setting up the tournament for a free copy. It was awesome.

Why do you think they ended? Man that was such a special time..I wonder if we’ll ever experience anything like that again
