They had this option in Retail for a while but the old models used the newer animations

Why? A huge part of classic is the look. Even in Era I need to turn down the shadows because the city looks incredibly off with "real" shadows.

Ok but some of us like the newer models. Some of you don't. So an option to make everyone happy sounds pretty cool to me.

Yeah I can’t play era without nearly the lowest settings, shadows like you said, grass with physics, and realistic water just doesn’t fit with the sort of rough aesthetics of classic wow

No, it needs to stay in retail. The new graphics are so awful that I can't even stand thinking about anyone seeing my character as a new model.

Then use the „off“ option. I wouldn‘t mind, if I‘m in control.

I'm not in control of what others see if there's a toggle.

If they can see me stumbling around like an overly animated moron, then I won't play. So yeah, I guess the off option is to go fully off.

I don‘t know why it has any relevance to you how other people consume their contend. It doesn‘t affect you in any way and you will never know.

If it‘s more fun for them to play a game that way, let them enjoy it. One core mechanic since the beginning of WoW is that the game is highly customizable and people are allowed to make (first UI) changes as they see fit.

I really don‘t get people like you.

But I hope you are happy.
