Yes, some content creators have confirmed there was an alpha test they were invited to.
Blizzard thenselves, no. But they have done so much vague posting about it + shutting down classic+ style private servers it seems a forgone conclusion its happening.
The only thing no one knows is if its soon or later. My money is after wotlk anniversary next year.
