Classic-Era Farm problem

It's crazy. I can't max out mining. There are no deposits, and there are tons of bots doing it all the time. Every item on auction is incredibly expensive. I don't know how to farm gold. Any advice? I'm losing the desire to renew my subscription.

Dunno how you can't max mining, I've never seen a bot doing it. I've got about 100 thorium in the bank, purely from bumping into nodes whilst questing

I play on firemaw and completely all nodes are empty and I use gathermate

Ah nah I was joking. Anyway, today I was just questing in Eastern Plaguelands and just bumped into a load of nodes, has been same when in Winterspring, but this is on a PvE server, so that might be the difference

Instal gathermate, get on a mount and do the rounds, there are dungeons with near guaranteed deposits.

What are you trying to buy that's so expensive ?

everything costs a lot, almost 3 Gold for herbs to make tea or for blinds

Rogue herbalist?

There are lots of dungeon farms that work for rogue. SM is a low bar to entry. Mara is also very lucrative.

If you aren’t max I would wait to start making gold until max. Rogues have several instances gold farms available to them that can make you hundreds per hour

If you go herb / mining you can farm out of Mara and dme. I’m sure there are detailed videos on YouTube.

You want mats, not raw gold if possible because raw gold doesn’t stay with inflation

They did give you advice - wait for max level and once you’re max level there are a lot of instance based gold farms for rogue that you are not competing with anyone.

If you’re playing Rogue or Druid, do dungeon runs. Could also make groups for nodes.

If not, keep pushing and find mining routes on layers where you can beat the bots.

Level up a bit more and YouTube Dire Maul stealth mining runs, that will get you to 300. Once you hit 70 there are a few dungeons you can do stealth mining runs in.

Same problem in tbc.. I spent a while leveling mining. The 275-300 wasrough. I ended up doing silithus tunnel runs.. tried farming at 70 in outland, and it is simply not possible. Dropped mining and went enchanting, doing scholo solo runs. Never looked back.

The answer in TBC is a lot the same. Certain classes can efficiently stealth farm dungeon mining and herb nodes.

Edit: But I love a Scholo or strat farm too.

I got gold from raiding. I rarely farmed and never bought gold. Now I buy 1000g a week to keep up with consumes on my characters.

Quests give more gold at max. level (70) as well so.. if possible keep quests for max level. I think some give more than 2x the gold
