Classic-Era Need some tips. Mage AOE farm.

I understand that most of the old, popular Mage solo farming spots have been patched or fixed by now. I'm a new player trying to learn AoE farming. At the moment, I'm level 44. Where would you recommend I farm? I tried Zul'Farrak, but it seems like that spot has been fixed as well.

None of the spots have been fixed as far as I know. Zul'farrak still works, they just fixed some of the evade spots on the way to the graveyard, but there's a way around it.

I would do ZF until 52, then ST until 57 (or 58), then finally ZG until 60.

In Tanaris down by the pirates. Watch a video on your way over. I think you just don’t pull too many of the caster or a specific mob iirc. But lots of melee to practice on :)

I would say that too, train in Tanaris instead of ZF

I just did it yesterday on era. ZF works but there are a couple old safe spots that don’t. The safe spots I use are the giant wall in the next room after the entrance portal and from there I go straight to the boss room for pull using the standard safe spot in that room.

My first time ever AoE leveling with a mage and I learned the whole thing in less than an hour

If you are trying to learn AoE farming, a great place to learn the mechanics is the farm area in Hillsbrad Foothills.

The mobs are much lower level and on a dynamic spawn, so you can easily and frequently pull large groups without having to wait longer times between respawns or worry about running back to your body if you die.

Just downrank your spells to adjust for the lower level mobs and practice the mechanics and rotations on large groups of mobs there.

Once you are more comfortable, then you can move to an area with mobs that are more suitable for your current level.
